Hikari no Namida

Chapter 1- The insanity begins

Netto hit the ground with a loud 'thud'. He groaned and shook his head.

"Ow…where the heck am I?" He muttered to himself.

"Netto-kun, are you alright?" A voice from Netto's PET inquired. Netto pulled out the small PET.

"Yes, if you don't pay attention to the fact it feels like someone is banging an electric guitar over my head." Rockman, the navi inside Netto's PET, sweat dropped at the figurative language.

"Well, at least you're not physically injured." Rockman pointed out. Now it was Netto's turn to sweat drop. "Yea, I guess so. So, do you know where we are?" Netto asked. Rockman sighed.

"I'm sorry, Netto-kun, I don't." Rockman said sadly. Netto stared at the ground and then spotted a red and white ball. Netto blinked and picked it up. Suddenly, the ball shook violently and Netto let it go in surprise. The moment the ball hit the ground, it opened and a white light shot out of it. A few moments later, when nothing else seemed to have happened, Netto picked up the ball and stared at it suspiciously.

"What…the heck…was that…?" Netto finally said when the ball did nothing odd.

"Not a clue…this is getting really weird…" Rockman muttered. Netto nodded in agreement. Just then, Netto felt as though someone was watching him. Netto turned around and found himself face-to-face with what looked like a strange purple floating head.

"Gastly!"

∞∞∞Chapter 2 The Pokedex∞∞∞

Netto's eyes widened and he fell over.

"AHHH!" He screamed.

"Gast, gast, gastly!" The floating creature seemed to be laughing at Netto.

"Wha-what are you!" Netto stammered. The weird creature laughed again and floated over near a tree. Netto followed it and spotted a thin, red handheld on the ground. Netto looked from the creature, to the handheld and then back to the creature.

"You…want me to pick this up?" Netto asked the creature. The creature nodded. Netto stared at the thin handheld then picked it up.

"Be careful, Netto-kun." Rockman warned his operator. Netto nodded.

"I will." Netto flipped the cover open and the power suddenly turned on and a statistic screen showed up.

Netto blinked in surprise.

"Well, this day just keeps getting weirder and weirder."

∞∞∞Chapter 3 What the heck's a pokemon?∞∞∞

Just then, the floating creature appeared right in front of Netto and started laughing. Netto jumped back in surprise, but the pokedex beeped and started speaking in a mechanical female voice.

"Gastly, the ghost type pokemon. Gastly is said to be made of a thin, gas-like substance that induces fainting if one were to ever become enshrouded in it."

"D-did that thing say g-ghost?" Rockman stuttered while hiding in the corner of his PET.

"I guess so…" Netto stated and looked up at the creature. "So, your name is Gastly and you're a pokemon?" Gastly nodded with a big, goofy grin on its face.

"Oh…what's a pokemon?" If it were possible, Gastly would have fallen over.

"Gastly! Gast, gast, gastly!" Netto listened with an intent look on his face.

"Netto-kun, can you actually understand what it's saying?" Rockman asked, barely peeking out of the corner of the screen. Apparently, poor Rockman still haven't gotten over his fear of ghosts yet. Netto grinned.

"Nope!" He said cheerfully. Rockman fell over in his PET.
