Hey, I did this for FallenAngel on the forum ShoujoAi Kisses and thought I might as well put it up here. Afterall, it isn't really that long, and I think it's a nice donation to the Tsunade/Shizune fans out there. Yeah, I know Tsunade's an old lady, but I don't care. :3 Flames are as welcome as reviews, so, enjoy.
Shizune was in one of the spare rooms of the Hokage Tower, a single light flickering as she began stamping paper after paper. Mock tears ran down her cheeks as she kept repeating, "Hokage sama... You keep doing this to meee" Tsunade had somehow managed to sneak away from her duties for the 3rd time that day. Shizune contemplated on setting up security cameras, not for actual security, but more for catching Tsunade in her hidious crimes against her. After a certain point, she stopped looking at what she was even signing, nose tilted in the air as she heard footsteps approaching the door.
Quickly, Shizune jumped out of the chair, hiding the stamp behind her back and standing at attention as the door opened and a man came in with a handfull of papers. He looked around, seeming confused, then spotted Shizune. "Hey, did you see Hokage-sama?"
Stuttering, Shizune answered, "N-no-I mean YES! Yes, she just stepped out for a moment..." She paused, eyeing the papers warily, "Are those... more papers for Hokage-sama...?"
The man smiled, plopping them down on the table, "Yup. But it looks like she did pretty good so far. She can handle it."
Inwardly crying, Shizune waved the man out, immediately resuming signing the new paperwork. Oh, she'd be in SO much trouble if she were caught doing a Hokage's work. 'I'll be put on trial! They'll condemn me for playing Hokage! They lock me up for the rest of my life! I'm too young for this! Hokage-samaaaa' She whined in her mind, thinking up crazy punishments she could receive for what she was doing...
About a half hour later, she was done... The room was hot like hell, and this particular room had no fan. Slumping in the chair, she sighed, hearing unsteady footsteps approaching the door. But she didn't get up. She knew it was a drunken Tsunade, coming back from some night out of sorts.
"Tsunade-samaaa..." Shizune whined, getting up out of the chair and walking over to greet the Hokage, who was leaning on the door frame for support.
"S-shizune..." the old woman muttered, pointing an accusing finger, "Why aren't you in my... my room..?"
Shizune quickly got defensive, "Because I was here doing YOUR work! Tsunade sama, you can't be this irresponsible all the time!"
Tsunade just ignored the rest of Shizune's standard lecture. Her drunken mind seemed to swirl backwards like a video tape. "Why wasn't ya in my room this morn'...in..."
A sigh escaped Shizune's lips a moment after, as Tsunade fell into her arms from exhaustion. 'You really hit the sauce this time didn't you?' She cried over in her mind, lugging the Hokage through the hallways she thought were the most deserted. Afterall, it'd be an embarrassment if she were found in this condition...
