Epilogue

It had been over a year with the WATCHTOWER incident. Remy and Rogue were married finally and had a child. Rose LeBeau was too young to understand why she had changes. Her eyes resembled Remy's and it scared him. Charles had cured Rogue, but Remy refused to have himself cured. He needed to protect his family, just in case anything else happened. He was one of the two experiments that hadn't been cured. Kurt couldn't be cured, and Remy didn't want to. When Charles asked why, he simply responded. "It be fo' mon family, mon ami. We strived s' hard t' get here, past de obstacles, past de torment, past everyt'ing. Everyone may t'ink jus because de whole operation staff is in jail, it be over. My gut tells moi dat it'd never be over. An' s' if I don' keep mon powers, I might risk losin' mon family."

It had been months after that day they had moved into their own house, close by to the mansion. Rogue had had her child then and her eyes were her fathers. Apparently this wasn't over by a long shot. The chemicals were fused to Remy's gene pattern, causing him to pass on a mutation similar to his, plus his eyes, to his child.

Now he sits in silence rocking his child, when the news came on. He saw a picture of Magneto...it was his worst nightmare as he turned up the volume.

TV

"And now we take you outside the New York Prison where there is a whole bunch of chaos." Said the reporter. "We have identified six individuals who have stormed out of the confines of their cells and have been terrorizing the jail. So far 2 of them have escaped. An Erik "Magneto" Lensher, and one Raven "Mystique" Darkholme. They are currently working on disabling the prison and freeing the four remaining captives. One Jean-Luc LeBeau, John "Pyro" Alerdyce, Sabortooth, and an unknown experiment. These were cured, but recently injected again to gain exit from the prison. We'll have more on this story as it develops. I'm Megan Fisher...Fox News."

Remy cut off the TV with disgust and set his daughter down in her crib to take her nap. He sighed and ran a hand through his thick auburn locks. He then saw Rogue come up beside him. "What's tha matta sugah?"

"He's...He's...escaped." Remy said to her with a gulp. "He's comin' back t' finish de job he started...ain' dis time it ain' gonna be easy amour."
