The first time, he had shown up at Grissom's door, intent on finishing an argument he'd walked away from earlier.

Ecklie hated the fact that Grissom seemed content with being the night shift supervisor, and he hated the respect that he had.

The argument renewed itself, growing more heated until finally something snapped, and Ecklie found himself grabbing Grissom and landing a brutal kiss on the other man's mouth. Then they were tearing at each other's clothes.

It's all about control, Ecklie thought.
