Momiji was having viel Spaß making a snowbunny! He could feel Ha'ri watching over him as he played.

Some thought Ha'ri was like snow. But if they saw how Ha'ri took care of him, they'd understand. Snow didn't warm your pajamas in the dryer before bed or read to you late at night to keep the Nacht Gespenst at bay. Snow didn't help with your homework or make sure your supply of Bonbon never ran out. Snow didn't hug you so so tight when you cried.

"Momiji, that's enough. Come inside; there's cocoa."

Ha'ri was like both his parents in one. Parents who didn't forget. Parents who didn't turn you out after saying they'd love you twice as much. Momiji's father was his 'Tousan', but Ha'ri was Momiji's 'Vati'.

Cold like snow? He was the kindest person Momiji had ever known.

"Kommt, Ha'ri!" Momiji hopped inside, leaving the snow behind.

Translations:

Vati – "Dad" or "Daddy"

Viel Spaß – "much fun"

Nacht Gespenst – Literally "night ghost." However, culturally, it's more of a bogeyman-type thing.

Bonbon – "candy/sweets"

Kommt – "coming" – This isn't the proper form of the verb for this occasion, however, I just liked it better than what it should be, in order to be grammatically correct. XD
