Over thinking
by fairady
Kiba's never been one to think much about things overly much. What was the point in it? Too many people wasted their lives thinking instead of doing. And it wasn't that they wasted it with productive thinking either. They wasted it with thinking about the same stuff over and over and just agonizing about it without making a decision.
He hates that type of thinking. Hates it because it's pointless and only makes people feel bad. He really wishes they'd stop doing it, but every time he tries to tell them to stop they just look at him and smile. Smile and say how lucky he was that some things just don't bother him and how some things just aren't quite that simple.
It frustrates him to no end because they refuse to see that it really is that simple. Don't think about it just do it. Yeah, you might get hurt but he thinks it'd be better than agonizing over it like everyone else.
So when Kiba sees Shikamaru on a roof one night, watching the moon, he doesn't think. He jumps up next to him and watches the other for a bit. The moonlight is too faint to see much by but he can see Shikamaru shift and frown in his direction. He feels the frown much better with his lips.
Thinking has always been overrated.
