Dragon: Hi, after ‘the heart’s cry’ the ratings were good, so I decided to continue. This one’s mainly focused on Kurama and his emotional ties. It takes place roughly after Dark tournament as well.

Home and the heartland

Kurama gazed up at the starry sky as his thoughts drifted along. The night seemed so tranquil and relaxing. He loved nights like this, when everything seemed so welcome to him.

High in the sky,

Through the clouds and rain,

Every familiar field,

Seems like an old friend,

The human world had become such an attachment to him. He didn’t care of course and felt more a peace there than he would anywhere else. His home and family were all that mattered in his life and nothing could change that.

When every hand that you shake,

Is like a warm embrace,

Could only be one sweet place,

Home and the Heartland.

Even his friends were close to him and his new life. They shared experience with him that not many other humans knew about. They were every bit as good at that as he was.

“And I’ll get them for that.” He joked out loud.

Sing out your songs,

And ring out your stories and rhymes,

It was always fun, even when they were arguing it was a blast.

Weave from your dreams,

The mystical dances that lead us to

Bind in heart and mind.

He recalled Hiei saying that living in the human world had made him ‘weak’ or ‘soft’ but he paid him no mind. Wherever he went he knew that Hiei was sorely mistaken.

As we circle the world,

With our wandering airs,

Gathering here and there,

Leaving behind our share,

His family and home were what kept him going when things went wrong. He remembered when he was Youko and smiled as he pushed those thoughts aside. That was far in the past.

Like the leaves in the wind,

They are blown along,

Melodies rising from,

Home and the Heartland.

This was why he still fought as he did, because his life was too important than to just give up.

Sing out your songs,

And ring out your stories and rhymes,

His life was for the ones who gave him a home and he would always return the favor when necessary.

Weave from your dreams,

The mystical dances that lead us to

Hiei was dead wrong. His living there made him stronger.

Bind in heart and mind.

It gave him something to live for. His heartland.

Okay! Did I do as well? I may do one for Yusuke and Kuwabara. Just say the word. Review for some advice or compliments. Woot!
