A Mother's Pain
Note: Drable-ish
Spoilers: Only the flashback in the movie, and only vaguely. But you can figure it out just by reading this, and I tweaked it a bit.
I told him I wouldn't think of him until he returned. I told him he shouldn't think of me until he returned. He didn't like that, and I shook my head and engraved it into the wall by the lake. He asked me what it was. I explained he would come here and wait for me when he came back. He smiled and hugged me, but I didn't hug back. If I did, I knew I'd never let go.
I told him he didn't exist until he came home. He pulled away and his eyes were wide in shock. Tears fell and I wanted so badly to wipe them, but I couldn't bring myself to do so.
I told him that I shouldn't exist to him either. He stared through tears that wouldn't stop, as if they were coming from both our hearts. He looked as if I had betrayed him. I think I did. He turned and ran, and a sad smile came to my lips.
He never looked back once. I turned and headed back to my village, and finally I could cry. I collapsed and sobbed.
My baby was going into the battle, he might come back completely different. I never even said goodbye, not really¼

I told him never to look back. I told him I wouldn't think of him until he returned. I told him he didn't exist until he came home.
