Okay, this is just a little oneshot I wrote at about five in the morning, unable to sleep. Good thing it's summer break, I suppose. This is during the same timeline as EndGame:The Fight for Freedom, my other fic that I have yet to update(Writer's block struck. Check my profile for info and such). Funny little fic; I was laughing the entire time I wrote it. Just drawing off early morning insaneness and Sapphire's sugar...problem. Yeah. Edge yawned, rubbing his eyes as he walked slowly from the rebel's base's kitchen to his usual seat in their 'living' room(he didn't think it should be called a living room-it was hadly big enough), cup of coffee in hand. He personally thought it was far too early to be getting up, but, alas, such was the life of a rebel. Rubbing his eyes again, he saw his chair only a few steps away...but never made it.

With a loud squeal uncharacteristic to the voice he heard, something taller, yet lighter, than him barreled into him, his coffee spilling everywhere, flying through the air with the cup, which landed on the floor with a loud 'CLANK'! He yelled as the scorching hot liquid splashed all over him, hearing an equally loud shriek from whoever had just near tackled him.

"Gah! It BURNS! Teh evil coffee has torched meeeeee!" Edge blinked, milding surprised as a blue blur shot past him, racing randomly around the room several times...Before running smack dab into a wall. One brow shot up as he watched the cobalt-furred fennec fall over, twitching on the floor, before he sighed, shaking his head as he bent down to retrieve his mug, turned to go get more coffee.

"Sapphire, you know better than to try glomping me when I've got coffee. I've warned you," he called back, getting a groan in response. He heard snickers from the other few in the kitchen as he walked back in, covered in coffee, empty cup in hand.

"Sapph try her usual tackle-glomp again?" Crystal asked, amused; she laughed when the hedgehog nodded, leaning on the counter as he grabbed the coffee pot, pouring himself a fresh cup.

"Yeah. I'm not even half awake and she comes out of nowhere, trying to tackle me. This time she got coffee all over herself too. She took off screaming and ran into a wall," he said, reaching for the small jar that held the sugar...Only to find it gone. "Where's the sugar?" As the other three shrugged, a loud crash sounded from another room, followed by another shriek, the sound of more things being broken and thrown.

"SAPPHIRE! GET YOUR SORRY ASS BACK HERE!"

"HELL NO!"

Edge sighed, shaking his head, taking a long drink off coffee, before leaving his cup on the counter as he walked out. "I can't believe she got the sugar again...This is going to be fun..." he muttered, watching Sapphire running away from a seriously ticked off black mongoose, who was throwning whatever he could find at the retreating, sugar-high fennec. "Aurora help me..."

Short yes, funny, yes. Or at least I think so. I needed to write something other than my Zelda fics. I might have one of those up soon, once I finish up a chapter I've been working on. All depends on if I manage to get my other computer hooked up to the internet, since all my stories are on that one. So, simply R&R!
