Lost in the battle field
The war in your eyes and heart
Your fears your only shield
The conflict tearing you apart

You don't want to fall in
But you have to if you want to survive
Your innosence your only sin
But it's what's keeping you alive

He stood above the man
With a wicked smile in his eyes
You try to save a life
But instead raise a shield of lies

You watch him hopelessly surrender
Putting his life to the sword
And you realize your failure and stand there
And you realize it's all absurd

You couldn't take one's life
And by that you let the other die
Now they both are dead
So you fall to the ground and cry

She finds you in the chaos of battle
You're in shock and you think she's lying
You cry in her hands when you realize
It was a good day of fighting.
