Prettyinpinkgal: Okay, while my other story's on hiatus (because I've totally ran out of ideas) I'll be working on this one. Hopefully I'll be able to continue Troubled Love in the nearby future, but until then I'll be working on different stories.

Thanks to:

Angelikyte Alexiel: Thank you for reviewing for Christmas Miracles and being honest:) Yeah, the characters are very OOC. I have to work on that sweatdrops

Disclaimer: Prettyinpinkgal: Hey Yubaba, you do the disclaimer.

Yubaba: Hmmph! I can't believe I have to do such a lowly job. Well, anyway, Prettyinpinkgal does not own Spirited Away. If anyone so chooses to ignore this disclaimer and sues her, I'll turn you into a pig. We haven't had ham in a long time at the bathhouse…

Prettyinpinkgal: o.O; Um, thanks Yubaba. Anyways, here's the story! Please enjoy! I'm sorry if the characters are OOC! (Like they usually are U.U)

SPIRITED BACK

CHAPTER ONE: DREAMS

A brunette around ten years old was running across a bridge. The skies were dark, and no one was there. The girl ran into a bathhouse at the other side and cried, "Hello? Anyone?"

Suddenly, Yubaba's voice called, "Chihiro! Come back to the bathhouse! Chihiro! Chihiro!"

"Chihiro!"

A voice that had seemed very far away suddenly came into close range. Chihiro's head shot up from her desk. Above Chihiro was a woman who was sending a Death Glare at her. 'She kind of looks like Yubaba right now,' Chihiro mused in her mind.

"This is the third time today you've fallen asleep during class today! Is the class work that boring?"

"Yup!" a boy cried at the other side of the room. "Can you let us do something else? Like, get out of school early?" The glare the teacher gave him immediately silenced him, but then her face cracked a sly smile.

"You're right, Noharu." The whole class gulped. If she was able to say Noharu was right about anything, that meant she was really furious. "It seems like Miss Ogino is having trouble with the class work, and finds it incredibly hard to stay awake, so how about we give her a break? Chihiro, you are suspended for the next two days."

Chihiro gasped. "Onegai, Miroki-sensei, please don't suspend me! I promise I'll try harder!"

"I gave you enough chances. You've been falling asleep not only today, but every day these past couple of days. Since you seem to believe that you can do anything you want, perhaps this will be a wake up call."

Chihiro, knowing she couldn't fight Miss Miroki, she got her things together and started walking towards the door. The class was sending her sympathetic expressions, and she smiled gratefully, glad that at least some people were on her side. She exited the school and began her journey home.

SPIRITED AWAY

Chihiro sighed as she walked under the sakura trees. Her parents had been at her lately, and she could just imagine what they would do to her when she got home. 'I won't live to go back to school,' she thought glumly. 'I better slow down.'

Suddenly, she stopped. Chihiro turned and looked into the path that led to Aburaya. 'Five years. It's been five years since I've seen them. Lin, Yubaba, No Face, Kamaji, Bou, Yu-Bird, and…Haku.' Chihiro blushed when she thought of him. She missed him the most out of everyone. She knew she loved him, but she was sure he didn't feel the same way. He still hadn't fulfilled his promise. Every night she held her breath, thinking maybe this sound was Haku, coming to visit, or that shadow belongs to Haku, but she was always just fooling herself. By now, she basically had no belief that he'd come back.

Chihiro was drawn out of her thoughts when she remembered the dream she'd been having. That was the reason why she kept falling asleep, when she wasn't even tired. She knew Yubaba wanted her there for some reason, but she wasn't going. Last time, she almost lost all she held dear, and she wasn't about to put anything or anyone else in jeopardy.

Chihiro quickly walked away. Then the unbelievable happened.

It happened so fast. She saw police cars in front of her house. A policewoman told her her parents were shopping when they got the call from the school that they suspended her. They were quickly driving home and had a fatal accident. Chihiro's parents were gone. Then darkness surrounded Chihiro and she fell with a thud.

When she woke up, she was in her bed. Her grandmother, who was rather cold and lived a few miles away, then came in. "Chihiro-chan, I'll be taking care of you and this house now that your parents are gone. You will do everything that your parents used to do. It is your fault they died, after all. If you hadn't been so stupid, my daughter and your father would still be alive. Now, sleep while you can. Tomorrow, I want you to get up at 5 and wash my car, cook breakfast…" Chihiro couldn't believe it. It seemed like everything was going wrong. Getting suspended, her parents' deaths, living with her horrible grandmother...It was too much to bear. While her grandmother continued rambling about the list of things Chihiro was to do, she decided. She would go back to the spirit world. She had nothing left for her here. She could work and see old friends. What could go wrong?

Prettyinpinkgal: Sorry that this chapter is kind of lame, and sort of OOC. Anyway, please review! Everyone who reviews will get freshly baked cookies! shows plates of cookies See ya! .
