Chapter 1: Reminiscing

Alyson Peters sat on the beach at Spanish Cove, Watching the waves crash furiously on the rocks below. Her long brown hair blew around her, covering her bare arms and hiding her face, allowing her mind to wonder. She sat there lost in thought remembering what her life was like six months ago. She had loved everything about being a small town girl from Kansas, that was until her dad’s job transferred and she got stuck here in Playa Linda.

She missed her home on her family’s farm, she missed her horses, she missed Kennedy High, But most of all she missed him, her best friend, the one who was always there for her through thick and thin no matter what, she could count on him and she knew that. She had spent sixteen years of her life in one place, she had hated it at the time, but now she would give anything to be back there roaming around with him, her only worry was getting too caught up in their conversation, missing curfew, and suffering the wrath of one of her dad’s week-long groundings. She could see him now, his blonde hair shining and his green eyes so intense and focused.

She closed her eyes and savored the image not completely understanding her feelings, all she knew for sure was that she needed him here with her. That had always had weird relationship, they would hold hands and constantly said that they love each other, but they never felt love like that until now. She could no longer deny it she knew, but it was pointless she would never see him again, or so she thought.
