A/N: You reviewed and will now be rewarded. I was gone to Wisconsin Dells for three days, as some of you may know –VOTE FOR KIRK!- (inside jokes are what happens from me and my two friends in a waterpark for four hours) and you FINALLY reviewed… and there are seventeen seven year olds in my house playing with a piñata. It’s violent. Why does my sister have to have a birthday- is that girl unconscious?- party? Oh….beats Jeff senseless There.
Disclaimer: I do not own Star Wars…but then George Lucas didn’t get to spend four hours in a waterpark yesterday so BWA-HA-HA-HA!
“So, you believe that two former Jedi, a Senator, and two infants are going to bring down the Empire? Are you insane?” Obi-Wan asked Anakin.
“Possibly,” Anakin said lightly. “But that has nothing to do with whether or not my plan can work.”
“You haven’t got a plan.”
“Yes, I have. Defeat the Empire.” Anakin grinned.
“That isn’t a plan, Anakin, it’s a goal.”
“Fine. I’ve got a goal. And you’ve neglected to mention one advantage we’ve got: Sidious doesn’t know where I am, or what I’ve done, or exactly how much pain he’s going to be in when I find him. He doesn’t know I’ve turned back. Now I can go over to him and beg forgiveness, putting on my contrite face to mask my laughing my ass off while simultaneously barfing face, and then we’ll know exactly what’s going on within the Empire and how to sabotage it.”
“And what if he doesn’t allow you back into the fold, Anakin? What if he kills you?”
Anakin’s smug smile abruptly left his face.
“He won’t,” Anakin said succinctly. Obi-Wan ignored the innumerable holes in that plan.
“Fine, but- where is he?”
“He’s back on Coruscant,” Anakin said. He did not say how he knew, and Obi-Wan could tell he wasn’t going to.
“All right, but what about Padmé and the twins?”
“Who can hear you perfectly well from the other room!” came Padmé’s voice.
“Come in here, then!” called Obi-Wan.
“Anakin said he wanted to talk to you alone, that he was going to fill you in on everything-” Padmé looked at Obi-Wan’s face. “Why don’t you just ask anything you don’t know now and we’ll get that out of the way,” she said, giving Anakin a look.
A half an hour later, considerably more knowledgeable about the events that had led up to his friend and former apprentice’s redemption from the Dark Side, Obi-Wan at last agreed to allow Anakin, Padmé, and the twins to return to Coruscant. With him well hidden in the hold.
“I do hope this is going to work, Master Anakin,” said Threepio as he watched Anakin and Obi-Wan open the hold.
“So do I, Threepio,” Anakin said. “Well, Master, aren’t you going to get in?” Obi-Wan cynically regarded the hold.
“I have a very bad feeling about this,” he said.
