New Moon

Chapter 1-New Moon child

Disclaimer: I don’t own Inuyasha or even the computer I’m typing on.

Mika stood in the ruins of what was once her house. Ash and smoldering pieces of wood was all that was left. She was Inuyasha’s and Kagome’s daughter and currently alone in what was Kaede’s village. She was of 15 years old, her name Mika meant new moon; mainly named because she was born on a new moon. She bore no demon traits except pointed human looking ears, claw like finger nails and her father’s trade mark sliver white hair. She had his hazel eyes and her mother’s facial features, her father believed that she was mostly human and there for was a waste to train her with a sword until she was older. She stood in shock and disbelief of what had happened to the village. Her hair was pulled back into a braid that fell past her back; she wore a dark blue kimono that was simply designed with white trim. She walked around in the remains of her house, her eyes scanning the area looking for signs of life. She tripped on something that was buried under the ash and fell into a grey snow of ash covering her kimono. She sat up and patted her kimono off looking at what had tripped her. It turned out to be her father’s sword the Testsiga. She stood up and went to pick the sword, but the force field zapped her finger causing her to pull away.

“Well it must have been super heated during the fire.” She assured herself not wanting to believe that the sword had rejected her. She bent over tore off a piece of her kimono, then wrapped the torn piece around its handle and dragged it along with her though the ash covered ground. “Mom? Dad?” She hollered into the empty smoldering village, her hazel optics scanned the area once more. She sighed as she wandered around the ash filled streets of her village. “Anyone?” she yelled kicking over some wood that was in her path. Out from the woods a reply was heard.

“Mika?” was what it was, the voice was from her friend Akina, she was the daughter of Miroku and Sango. She was Mika’s age and her closest friend; she had Sango’s looks and attitude. She wore her demon slayer cloths and had her mother’s boomerang on her back. She preferred her mother’s demon slaying to her father being a priest and since Naraku was defeated his wind tunnel was no more and he was nothing but a priest. She headed into the village and saw her friend Mika standing in the middle of the burnt village. “Mika!” she yelled running up to her friend and encasing her in a hug. “What happened here?” she asked her friend in bewilderment.

“I don’t know Akina. It was like this when I got here. Everyone’s gone mom, dad, even your parents and all the other villagers.” She said in a tone of despair.

“Really?” asked Akina to the point of tears, she scanned the area and ran over to where her house once stood. “But they where here this morning.” She said tearing up the ground where her house was. “They can’t, they couldn’t.” She cried digging deeper and deeper in the ruble.

“Akina, they’re not dead.” She said walking up behind her friend and placing a hand on her friend’s shoulder. “I didn’t smell their sent anywhere.” She said with certainty.

“Really?” Akina asked as she stopped digging and looked up at Mika. Mika nodded and walked back towards the center of the village.

“I smell no death or scent of blood.” Mika said smelling the air around her. “I mean I would smell it and their scents lead off into the woods.” She said crossing her arms across her chest. Akina stood up slowly and nodded.

“I guess your right.” She sighed walking up next to Mika.

“Of course I’m right!” she smiled, but her smiled faded as she looked around her once again.

“So then what burned the village?” Akina asked kicking up some ash that was around her.

“I dunno.” Mika said as she shrugged. “I’m not sure, but it smells of demon, a powerful one.” She said as she took in a breath.

“Oh.” Akina sighed “then there’s a chance that everyone’s alright.” She said as she began to brighten up.

“Yeah, there’s a chance. Though it’s more then likely their after my father or his sword.” She said looking down at it; she tired her luck at holding it again, only to have the same results. “That’s strange.” She muttered under her breath.

“What? What is it?” Akina asked peering over Mika’s shoulder.

“It’s nothing” Mika sighed walking towards the woods. “We’ll need some help to catch the demon that has our parents.” She said looking back at the village “Akina if the demon captured everyone and wasted the village like that it’s gonna be a strong one.” Mika said to her friend as she entered the woods “I think that Koga’s son Kane will be more then happy to help us.” She said to Akina smiling. “Ever since my mom had me meet Koga and his son; Kane has had a crush on me ever since.” Mika grinned. “My mom had to make sure that dad was gone though in order to get Koga to agree to come. She laughed at the memory.

-Flash back-

“But mom dad said that the wolf tribe was nothing but trouble!” cried a chibi Mika.

Kagome smiled down at her daughter and laughed.

“Your father only dislikes a certain member of the tribe, a certain member that is coming over as we speak.” she smiled as a knock on the door sounded “Coming!” Kagome said as she walked over to the door, and opened it. On the other side was Koga, he had been invited over by Kagome earlier that day. “Oh hello Koga!” Kagome smiled as she opened the door to let him in. Giving him a friendly hug.

“Hello Kagome, I hope it isn’t much trouble that I brought my son Kane with me.” Koga said as he walked in and a young boy about the same age of Mika stepped in next to him, and looked to be almost an exact copy of him.

“Hello Mrs. Higurashi.” The small boy said while walking in. Kagome’s eye lit up at the boy’s politeness.

“Why it’s no trouble at all Koga.” Kagome said as she looked down at the chibi Koga “What’s your name?” she asked dotting on the boy.

“My name is Kane.” He said gleefully; then walked up to Mika. “And who my I ask are you?” he asked kissing Mika’s hand. Mika pulled her hand back and glared at Kane.

“Charmed I’m sure.” She said eyeing him. “The name’s Mika.” She said ruefully. “But whatever.” She said “I don’t associate with boys that live in any thing less then a house and actually wear cloths and not some stupid pelt.” Mika said she wasn’t very pleased with any of this Inuyasha had told her all the bad things he could think of about Koga and the wolf tribe. Mika being daddy’s little girl like she was listened and took everything to heart. Kane stepped back at looked at her then blinked at how she had insulted him.

“She certainly is Inuyasha’s kid.” Koga said looking at Mika. “But she defiantly has her mother’s face.” he said looking back at Kagome with a grin.

“Yeah, and she has his attitude.” Kagome said jokingly. Mika glared at her mother then at Kane.

“I’m not gonna take this!” she said stubbornly, as she stomped out of the house. “Oh the nerve of him! I hate boys their so icky!” She said as she climbed a tree and being only 5 years old that was a normal response for a little kid. Kagome apologized to both Koga and Kane.

“I’m really sorry; she’s only 5 and still thinks boys have cutis. Plus whatever Inuyasha told her about the wolf tribe.” Kagome sighed “I’ll bring her back.” Kagome said as she turned to leave.

“No I’ll do it.” Kane said as he side stepped Kagome and went outside after Mika.

“Stupid boy!” Mika muttered as she climbed up to the top of a nearby tree and sat with her arms crossed. Kane saw Mika climbing in the tree and followed her up.

“Hello Mika.” He said sitting down next to her. “I’m sorry if you think boys are icky, and that the wolf tribe is too. I do live in a cave and wear pelts, but what’s so wrong with that?” He said looking at her. Mika scowled at him not really having a clue as to how she could answer him.

“My daddy said that it was that’s why.” She said happy she finally came up with an answer. Kane just looked at her and began to laugh.

“Well I’m sure that your father may mean well, but there’s nothing wrong with any of it. I mean look your mom and my dad are friends.” He said pointing to the house where laughter could be heard. Mika stopped her scowling to listen to the house.

“I guess your right.” She replied then an evil grin formed on her face. “Mmmm Kane?” she asked looking down.

“Yeah what?”

“I was wondering.” She said looking at the ground.

“Yes?” he asked looking at her. He noticed that she had now begun to look at him too.

“What do you think about girls?” she asked leaning closer towards him.

“Huh I think they’re nice.” He said getting uncomfortable from her gaze. Mika inched closer and closer till she was right next to him.

“Oh, no reason.” She said as she leaned closer to his face. He immediately closed his eyes. ‘I knew it she likes me!’ he thought getting ready for what he thought would be a kiss. Instead Mika pushed him off the tree branch and saw him fall to the ground in a daze. “Did ya really think I’d kiss you of all people? Ick! Kami grow up!” She yelled down only to break out into laughter and end up falling down right on top of him.

“Oh, Kami girl what do you eat you weigh a ton get off me! He said pushing her off him. Only to get whacked on the side of the head by Mika.

-End of flash back-

Since then she and Kane had begun to get along better, though she and him get into their debates about whatever they can think of. He has formed a little crush on our Mika since then. “Mika? Hello? Earth to Mika!” Akina yelled at Mika; while she was staring off into space.

“Hey!” Mika yelled at Akina rubbing her ear. “I can hear you just fine thanks!” she said glaring at her. “I was just thinking that’s all.” She said with a sigh.

“Oh.” Akina mumbled while walking behind Mika. “Where are we going again?” she asked rubbing her head.

“We are going to see if Kane will come with us to get the village back.” she said looking back at Akina “Why?”

“Dunno.” Akina shrugged “so where does he live?” she asked holding back a large yawn.

“Just over that hill.” Mika said smiling and pointing to the hill. “If Kane says anything to you about a tree just ignore him.” Mika said grinning thinking about the memory once again.

“Um ok…..whatever.” Akina said scratching her head in confusion. “And how come you’ve never told me about him beofe?”

“It’s a long story.” Mika laughed as she saw the wolf tribe’s camp “Ah here we are.” She said walking down the hill. “Hey Kane!” she yelled waving her hand around in the air.

“Hey Mika!” he said walking up to her “How’s it going?” he asked looking past her to see Akina. “Who’s your friend?”

“Nothing much, Oh yeah this is my friend Akina, Akina this is Kane.” She said pointing back and forth.

“Nice to meet you.” Akina said bowing her head slightly.

“Likewise.” Kane said returning the bow. “So Mika what brings you out here?” he asked looking the girl over and noticing the ash that covered her kimono.

“We need your help Kane. Sometime this morning while both of us where out and away from the village it was attacked. Everyone was taken captive and the entire village was burnt to the ground.” She said looking down at her feet and a tear escape from the corner of her eye “And I don’t know what demon attacked the village. What’s worse is that my father doesn’t even have his sword.” Kane noted the tear and nodded

“I’ll help rescue your parents and the other villagers.” He said as he placed a hand on her shoulder “I promise.”

“Thanks so much.” She said as she rapped her arms around him giving him a hug. He nodded in turn.

“Mika you should know by now that I’d do anything to help you.” He said smiling down at her.

“Really?” she asked looking up at him.

“Really.” He answered walking back towards the tribe’s camp. “We’ll need supplies lets go.” He yelled back to them. Mika and Toki looked at each other then blinked.

“Coming!” they said in unison. ((An: should I stop here? Nah I’ll be nice)) The trio walked down and around the outer regions of the camp until they made it to the main cave. Kane walked in first to find his father there looking at him with a grin.

“So who did ya bring with you?” Koga said looking behind his son to see the slivery white hair that belonged to Mika. “Hey you brought Kagome’s kid!” he said walking up to them.

“Ya know my name’s not ‘Kagome’s kid’ it’s Mika.” She said folding her arms and glaring at Koga. Though Kane might have changed her opinion about some members of the wolf tribe she still wasn’t very respectful of Koga due to her father’s err teachings. Koga laughed.

“You’re still your father’s kid.” He said ruffling her hair. Mika flicked his hand off her head and glared at him.

“Yeah well I’m only here for Kane’s help and supplies. For your information the village was attacked and my parent’s along with everyone else is gone.” She said looking around the cave. “Come on Kane.” She said yanking him around the cave looking for the supplies.

End of chapter 1. I’m going to have them in the next chapter end up just skipping over to where they are traveling to find her parents and the others.

Chapter 2- The Family Reunion

Disclaimer- I don’t own Inuyasha or even this computer or any computer for that much this is my dad’s!

Mika, Akina, and Kane had been traveling on the path of the scent that had the villager’s scent along with her parents. They had all their supplies and had left the wolf demon tribe a few days ago. So far everything was going well, they where making good progress even though Akina ended up carrying the Testsiga. Since Mika still couldn’t touch it and Kane obviously couldn’t she ended up with it.

“Mika can we please stop and rest.” Akina wined dragging the sword behind her along with the rest of the supplies.

“But Akina we just stopped back 3 miles ago at this rate we’ll never catch up to our parents!” Mika said looking over her shoulder to Akina.

“Yeah, but you guys aren’t carrying anything! Why do I have to?” she wailed as she dropped the stuff on the ground “And it’s getting dark, we should set up camp.” Kane nodded and stopped to help her out with the bags to unpack the camp.

“But they won’t stop and at this rate our parents will be put up for slaughter before we even get with in a mile of them!” Mika cried.

“Mika you’re being a little unfair here, she is carrying everything.” Kane said while unpacking some blankets that made make shift sleeping bags.

“But, but.” Mika said as she stomped her foot. “We NEED to keep moving!”

“You can keep going for as long as you want, but we are making camp you can go on; we’ll be here if you need us.” Kane said as he opened up the blankets and flattened them out on the ground.

“Fine! I will!” Mika yelled stomping off into the ever darkening woods.

“I bet she comes back before diner is made.” Kane said nudging Akina in the side.

“I wouldn’t put it past her.” Akina giggled.

Mika stormed off into the dark woods, angry and hungry she was almost into a run.

“If they won’t help me, then I’ll help myself!” she breathed as she stopped her running and looked around. “Where am I?” she asked as she scanned the area. “Great I’m lost!” she sighed and walked over towards a small boulder that was off to the side of the trail. “I’m so stupid I’m not even on my parent’s trail anymore. I took a few wrong turns.” She said placing her head in her hands. Then as she was about to head back a scent past her by. “A demon!” she said jumping up and looking around. Out of the corner of her eye a flash of a figure concealed in darkness past though the trees around her. Mika stood in a defensive posture ready for attack with her claw like nails ready. “Hey whoever you are come on out already!” she yelled into the darkness.

“Hahaha, so you’re telling me little girl that you’re not afraid of a demon like me?” the demon answered back in a feminine tone. “I’m not here for fun, I’m here mainly because of your strange sent.” The demon paused. “Do tell me child why do you smell so much of Inuyasha?” the demon said walking out of the shadows. The demon looked to be in the form of a beautiful young lady and might have tricked Mika if she hadn’t had smelt of burnt wood. She had long night black hair that waved in the slight breeze and had dark deep crimson eyes to match. She wore a short knee length black kimono that had a red under layer. “My name is Iva child.” The demon said.

“Well Iva the reason that I smell like Inuyasha might be because I’m his daughter!” she spit out. The demon chuckled at Mika with interest then became silent. “Oh, so the mutt ended up with the human after all.” She said pulling out a whip from her side. “So tell me child where is your father? I haven’t smelt him anywhere and when I smelt you I thought I had lucked out in finding him. Alas I guess not, you’ll have to do instead.” She said as she snapped her whip. “And since you’ve been so helpful for me I’ll kill you quickly.” She said smiling. “Don’t worry you won’t feel a thing.” The demon walked towards Mika as she backed up into a tree. She ready her fists in front of her.

“I’m just sorry I wasn’t much of help.” She said kiddingly.

“Oh don’t worry my dear you’ve helped plenty.” Iva said as she readied her whip to smack down upon Mika. Mika backed into a tree she had no where to go.

“Hehe can’t we just talk this out?” Mika said as she began to panic.

“Not a chance sweetie.” The demon said as she smacked her whip down onto Mika, and sent her flying to the ground. She screamed out in pain.

“Ahhhhh.” Mika yelled as she landed on the ground several feet away from where she had been standing. Mika sat up in pain looking back at the demon. “Why do you wanna kill my dad for?” Mika asked as she examined the slash across her back.

“It’s nothing that concerns you.” Iva spat ready to hit Mika again, when voices began to echo out though the woods.

“Mika? Mika?” Were the voices of her friends Akina and Kane. Their torch light was seen from where Mika sat and the demon stood.

“Who is that child do you know who calls?” Iva asked looking at the path as the luminescent light approached.

Mika peered down the path that the voices came from.

“Kane! Akina!” she yelled trying to stand as she writhed in the pain. “I’m over here!” Iva glared down at Mika.

“Stupid child!” she yelled at her. “Now you and your friends shall die!” she said as she whipped Mika once more, sending her flying back.

“Ahhhhhhhhhh!” she screamed as the pain returned in another blow this time was taken by her lower arms. As she began to sit up again she saw Toki and Kane come running to her side.

“Mika!” Kane yelled as Akina examined her wounds.

“What happened are you ok?” She asked checking her friend over and over again.

“Akina I’m fine it’s just a few scratches, and this lady here is a demon she’s after my father.” Mika said standing up. “Be careful of her whip though it stings.” She said writhing in the pain. Both Kane and Akina looked at Iva.

“So she did this to you huh?” Kane said “I’ll take care of her ladies.” He said with a tone of arrogance.

“Ha! You poor excuse of a demon; you think you can take care of me that easily? Then you’re sadly mistaken.” Iva mocked “Well I’ll just have to get rid of all of you.” She said then attacked Kane with her whip. Kane attacked head on and was struck back by the whip and sent flying back into a tree breaking ribs and other bones. “Ha! I told ya, a poor excuse for a demon.” She repeated as she cracked her whip. “Guess what little human you next!” she laughed as she sped towards Akina. She raised her whip and attack Toki head on with full force. Just as the whip was about to make contact with Akina Mika jumped into the attack and grabbed the whip with her hand. “What?” Iva yelled in disbelief that Mika had caught her attack.

“Guess I’m not so weak huh.” Mika said smiling; her hand began to bleed as the leather whip dug into her skin. Iva yanked the whip back.

“Lucky catch, you won’t luck out again.” Iva said as she raised her whip again and smacked it down onto Mika sending her hurdling back into the dirt.

“Mika!” Akina cried running up to her friend’s side and shook her to wake her. “Mika please!” she cried Mika rolled over blood trickling down from her fore head.

“Sorry Akina.” She smiled softly. “Help me stand.” She said sitting up.

“No Mika you’re hurt.” She cried.

“Help me stand Akina!” she yelled at her friend. Akina nodded and helped Mika up.

“Well I’ll give ya credit kid you’ve got sprit, to bad I still have to kill ya.” Iva laughed. “Oh well I’m over it.” She said coldly as she raised her whip again.

‘I’m too weak to block another attack, Akina forgive me.’ Mika thought as she saw the whip collide with her friend and sending her to the ground in a cloud of dirt. Akina screamed in pain as she fell into the earth.

“There now that was not that bad.” The demon smirked.

“How could you!” cried Mika in anger. “She didn’t do anything!”

“That may be true, but death by association is one reason.” Iva replied. “Now your turn.” She said as she raised her whip up into the air, her attack headed straight for Mika “And now no one’s here to interrupt me.” She smiled as the whip came cracking down on Mika. She screamed out in pain once more and landed face down on the ground. “Your less then half a demon and your deserve less then half my attention.” Iva laughed. Mika began to stir and sit up only to have Iva step on her back pining Mika down. “Why won’t you die already?” Iva snarled. Just as she raised her whip to strike Mika once more only to have a green light peeled though Iva’s body slicing her in half. Iva’s cries where heard echoing throughout the forest. ((The light you ask? Where did it come from? Well read on and find out! Mwahaha!)) Sesshomaru stepped out from behind the demon remains and looked down at Mika.

“Rin see to it that she and the other’s wounds are treated for.” He said not looking back behind him at Rin and Jakien.

“Yes lord Sesshomaru.” Rin said walking to Mika and her friends, she picked them up and placed them on the back of the dragon. Rin was in her twenties now and had stayed as Sesshomaru’s loyal follower.

“But mil’lord isn’t she Inuyasha’s daughter?” Jakien asked coming up to his side.

“Yes, but there is something different about her unlike my brother.” He said to Jakien coldly Jakien blinked then scrambled over.

“Oh.” He said as he went over to help Rin set Kane onto the Ah-Un’s back next to Akina and Mika.

-Later-

Sesshomaru had Rin and Jakien patch up Mika and her friends. She awoke just a few hours later by a fire wrapped up in bandages and a blanket having Akina and Kane on either side of her. “Where am I?” she asked sitting up. Rin noticed that she had awakened first and leaned over to her.

“You took some heavy hits I wasn’t sure if you’d live.” She said looking Mika over. “My name is Rin.” She said smiling at Mika. Mika held her head with one of her hands and moaned. “You should take it easy.” Rin said pushing her back down to lie down.

“Thanks I guess, and I’m fine.” Mika said swatting Rin’s hands back. Mika stood up and looked around. When Sesshomaru stood up from across the fire, he made his way next to Rin and Mika.

“You should listen to her.” He said setting Mika back down.

“Who are you?” Mika asked looking at Sesshomaru then at her friends. “Are they alright?”

“My name is Lord Sesshomaru, I’m your uncle.” he said looking at her then her friends “And they are fine they’re just unconscious. It seems that you took more hits then both of them.” He said standing up. Mika blinked then stood up to follow him.

“You’re my uncle?” she asked looking at him with confusion in her eyes, he had just saved her and according to her father her uncle was a cruel and malevolent. This man that had just said he was her uncle had just saved her and patched her up.

“Didn’t I just say that? And yes I’m your uncle. I’m your father’s brother and I’m guessing that you haven’t heard of me.” He said looking down at her.

“No, I’ve heard of you but you just don’t seem like how my parents described you as.” She said as she looked back at him.

“What where you doing out here anyways?” he asked.

“Well my village was burnt down and everyone was taken captive, my parents included. My friends and I have been tracking their path down for a few days now.” She continued her story to him and explained the details and about the Testsiga rejecting her.

“So you have the sword?” he asked

“No, Akina does I think, she had it when the youkai attacked her I remember that.” She said as she bent down to her friend and found the Testsiga on her side. “Yeah she still has it.” She said as she tried to take it out of Akina’s belt only to have its force field zap her once more. She recoiled again and sucked on her finger to chill the tingling feeling. “See it did it again.” She said taking out her finger. Sesshomaru furrowed his brow in confusion.

‘That’s not right, even if she was mostly human it wouldn’t reject her like that it only does that with full demons and that’s impossible.’ He thought to himself as he studied Mika over. “So do you ever change on the new moon?” he asked looking her over and over again. Mika shook her head no.

“Nope I’ve never changed at all. What you see is all I am.” She said shrugging.

“Hmmm, are the rumors true that the Shikon no tama disappeared at your birth?” he asked. Mika furrowed her eye brow at the question.

“Yeah, I think so I don’t know really.” She said folding her arms across her chest.

He nodded as he turned away ready to walk somewhere. “Rin make sure that Mika and her friends get plenty of rest.” He said walking off.

“That means you need to get some sleep.” Rin said taking Mika by the arm and sitting her down into the blankets again. Mika nodded after she gave up struggling a few times.

Chapter 3- The Rose Blade Sword

Disclaimer- I don’t own Inuyasha or a single toy of it…I’m so deprived! I’ll get one for my b-day maybe a cute Sesshormaru plushie!

Sesshormaru stood in and empty field staring up at the nearly full moon, deep in thought. ‘Is it even possible? Could she... no it’s impossible, although her mother was wearing the Shikon jewel, and knowing my brother. Also the rumors that the jewel disappeared at her birth are very confusing.’ His thoughts where interrupted by the sound of foot steps behind him. He turned around to see the old sword maker, Toutousai standing behind him. “What are you here for?” he asked eyeing the old demon.

“Nothing to deal with you.” He answered walking up next to Sesshormaru and looking up at the stars. “I’m here on matters with the girl you have found. Your niece I believe isn’t what she thinks she is.” He said looking back towards the campfire. “She is a youkai, and you know don’t you Lord Sesshormaru.” Sesshormaru nodded and sighed.

“I’ve had enough clues.” He looked at the fire that was several yards away. “When she told me that the Testsiga had rejected her and that she never changed forms.” Sesshomaru replied deep in thought.

“I figured that Inuyasha must have wished that she could have been born a full demon. As he didn’t want her to grow up like he did.” Toutousai said as if to finish off Sesshomaru’s thoughts. “I had to observe her when she was younger. Her father found out that she couldn’t wield the Testsiga. I came to figure out what kind of sword to make for her. When I had found out that she was indeed a full demon from my studies, I had wanted to tell Inuyasha. When I went to the village I found it burnt and not a trace of anyone.” The old demon straightened up. “And then I found her here with you. I have her sword ready.” He said as he pulled out a bundle from under his kimono. Under the sheets was a beautifully designed sheath that held a sword. “It’s called the rose blade sword.” He said as he drew the sword. As he did a pink, red blade shone in the moonlight. The hilt was dark green and where the grip turned to the sword was what looked to be leaves. The leaves fanned out to make the handle’s end. The sword it’s self was the color of a rose and was curved like a scimitar. The old man sheathed the sword and looked up at Sesshormaru with indignation. “It’s some of my best work yet.” He side handing it to to the inu taiyoukai. “I trust that you’ll be teaching her.” Sesshomaru nodded, and with that the man disappeared into the night.

“You can come out now.” Sesshomaru said not moving “I know you’re there.” Mika jumped out of the tree and walked up solemnly to him with her head bent down; looking at her feet.

“How did you know?” She asked shuffling her feet.

“I know your scent, or did you forget that.” Mika nodded then remembered the sword that they had been talking about; the sword that she had been over hearing about.

“Oh yeah … Um can I have my sword now?” She asked happily and holding her hands out flexing her fingers impatiently. Sesshormaru held back the sword from her begging.

“You can have it in the morning.” He said walking back to the camp. Mika hurriedly followed him, walking up by his side. “So am I really a full demon?” she asked looking up at him. Sesshormaru nodded and looked down at her.

“Yes, you are and it’s due to your father’s stupidity.” He said sharply. “You will begin training under me as of tomorrow. You are to tell no one of this.” He paused “Any of this, including the part that you are a full demon.”
