The Spot

There was something sticky on Fullmetal's latest report. Roy eyed the brownish goo covering half the page, unimpressed. Hesitating, he reached out with a finger towards it, but he changed his mind and put his hand down on the desk again. Better not touch unknown substances.

"What's this?" The question wasn't directed to anyone special, more to himself than anyone else. Roy picked up the paper and smelled on it. Didn't have any unpleasant scent, at least.

He blinked as the paper was pulled out of his grip.

Hawkeye looked it over and squinted at the smears. Carefully, she touched it with a finger (impressing Roy in the meantime) and examined what got stuck on her finger-tip. After a while, she snorted. "Ice-cream, sir, I believe."

"Ice-cream," Roy repeated. He stared at the sticky stuff, contemplating. Chocolate, then? He tried to imagine Edward eating chocolate ice-cream.

Roy coughed and pushed away that mental image for later, more private...contemplating.

Ice-cream, huh?

Roy smirked.
