Wish I Could Stay

believe me I don't wanna gobut we both know
and it'll grieve me coz I love you so

Wish I could say the right words to lead you through this land
Wish I could trust that it was just this once but I must do what I must
Wish I could play the lover and take you by the hand
wish I could stay
wish I could stay
wish I could...stay...

“Kimiko I challenge you to a XiaoLin Showdown; my monkey staff against your Star Hanabi. It’s a truth or lie contest”, Jack Spicer yelled in an annoyed Kimiko’s face. She pushed a lock of dyed blonde hair out of her face as she pulled out her faithful seng-gong-wu, The Star Hanabi. She gave jack a slight growl before excepting his challenge.

“I accept. Let go, XiaoLin showdown”, she yelled, leaping away as bright red balloons rose from the ground and surround her and jack. Her costume disappeared and was replaced by her armor. Se took her chance while jack was still messing around to jump onto a yellow labeled balloon.

“Jack. Have you ever been in love”, she shouted down to him. Jack looked thoughtful for a second.

“Yes with a girl called Kendra”, he called up to her. He gave a monkey screech and leaped onto another balloon.

“Kimiko, are you in love with anyone in this arena?” he called up to her. She gave a sudden jolt as she looked down at her friends. Omi looked nervous and Raimundo looked hopeful.

“Yes”, she called. Jack looked very surprised then asked her another question that made her blood run cold.

“Who is it?” he called up to her. The female looked away, tears filling her eyes as she looked down at her friends. Her eyes met Omi’s for a second and he smiled, nodding his bald head.

“I am in love with Omi” She shouted proudly. Jack gave a sudden gasp and dropped off his balloon with shock. As he fell, Kimiko wrapped her arms around her small body as the arena returned to normal. Her hands clutched the Monkey staff, The Star Hanabi and the new Seng-Gong-Wu, The Angel Wings as she looked away from her friends. Her secret was now out in the open and she didn’t know what to do. Dojo nodded towards her and super sized into his true form. She climbed on his back and felt a hand grip hers. Slightly yellow hands entwined her as he pulled himself up next to her. He pulled the troubled japanese girl into a tight hug, trying to avoid the stare of his other comrades. His chest became warm with tears as a winter breeze whipped their faces as Dojo flew back to china, the place he called home. The question was, could he really call it home now? His friends were silent, knowing that the one female they all loved was under the spell of the XiaoLin dragon of water.
A warm fire and a good nights sleep was what Omi expected when they arrived home that night. He couldn’t have got it any more wrong. Freezing and shivering, the monk stayed silent as the clambered into the warm simple temple. It was Raimundo who broke the silence, glaring at the young bald monk as Omi pulled of his gloves.

“So what made you choose Omi Kimiko?” he said, directing the question at the japenese girl, venom dripping off his voice. Kimiko glared at him.

“I don’t know and I don’t care. I love Omi”, She said, hugging the bald monk. Raimundo was clouded with anger and jealousy that Kimiko had chosen Omi over him. He anger was boiling over and he was directing it at the young couple.

“You could have anyone you want but instead you choose that runt Omi”, he shouted, his words cutting through the couple like knifes through hot butter. The gentle cowboy stepped in between the two males in case they started to fight.

“If you can’t respect my decision, we should just leave”, Kimiko yelled back. The small monk didn’t know what to do. He didn’t know that love could destroy his comrade’s friendship within a few short minutes.
“Leave then. See if I care”, Raimundo shouted. Clay gasped, Omi gave a small cry and Rai covered his mouth, staring at the couple with eyes of sadness at what he had just said. Kimiko’s head was bent so they couldn’t see if she was crying or not. Omi looked at her and suddenly hated him for hurting Kimiko like that. He gripped her side and pulled out one of the newest Seng-Gong-Wu. It was the spirit of Pegasus. The small horse shaped Seng-Gong-Wu transformed into a metal Pegasus, staring at Raimundo with its white eyes. Omi pulled the female onto the winged horses back and pressed its side with his heels. He could feel Kimiko’s tight grip around his waist, her breath down his neck as the pair soared, feeling the wind rush through Kimiko’s black hair.

Omi sat near the lake, gazing up at the stars, watching them twinkle and shimmer as small tears fell down his cheeks. How could Raimundo say something like that? He glanced over that the now sleeping Kimiko, her raven black hair spread out against the grass. He smiled and turned back to the lake only to see Chase Young staring at him, frowning at the young monks. Omi leaped up in a defensive position, ready to fight him for Kimiko. Chase glanced at the sleeping dragon of fire and smirked slightly.

“Chase Young, if you are looking for a fight, you will certainly get one”, he said. Chase smirked and patted Omi bald head.

“No need little one. I can’t help but notice your problem with the other dragons-in-training”, he said. Omi frowned nervously as the soulless warrior paced around him.

“I have no idea what you mean”, he said, backing away slowly. Chase approached him, glancing down at the sleeping Kimiko.

“ I have come to offer you a place to stay with your lover”, he said
