Hey everyone! Here is the final chappie of Atavism of the Mazoku, I decided to make it an epilogue like thing.

Disclaimer: I don’t own Yu Yu Hakusho!

-.-.-.-.-.-

The air was still and quite, yet there was something very peaceful about it all. Maybe it was simply the feelings of joy that swelled in him that lightened the dimness of the room. Or maybe it was the fun he was having with his video camera. Who’s to say?

Yusuke clicked the little red button of his recorder and started talking out loud, barely above a whisper, “There is my beautiful wife Keiko,” he zoomed in on her sleeping face, “Her hair is messy, she’s exhausted, but I’m sure if she were awake she would kill me for taping this.” He backed away and looked around the room, “And this is our nice little hospital room.”

He focused in on the cards and gifts lining the window shelf, “These are the congratulations presents from our friends, and speaking of friends,” he twisted around and laughed, “There is the new mommy.” The death glare the former detective received made him take his comment back immediately, “I’m just kidding.”

Kurama shook his head, “Making jokes like that is quite foolish, I mean considering you’re the one wearing women’s clothes.”

“Hey!” He jumped to his own defense, “It’s not my fault she went into labor in the middle of the night and it was too dark to find my own blouse.”

“Shush!”

“Don’t shush me fox boy!”

Kurama sighed looking down at the bundle in his arms, “Fine, if you want Keiko to scold you for waking your daughter keep yelling.”

“Oh.” Yusuke sweatdropped, “Right.”

“How about for waking me?” Both males looked up to see Keiko opening her eyes, her voice slightly moody, “I think I deserve a nice nap.”

Hoping to prevent her from getting pissed he said, “I think you do too so go back to sleep.”

She blinked and looked around, “Where’s Hiro?”

The new father set down his camera and walked over to the other side of the room. He picked up a small bunch of blankets and set it down in his wife’s open arms. She smiled down at her son.

Kurama stood and went over to Yusuke, “Here.” He handed over the tiny infant and told him to go sit next to Keiko so he could tape the family together. It was a very cute sight indeed.

Pressing the record button the kitsune asked, “So is there anything you would like to say to your kids in the future when they watch this?”

Yusuke shifted his daughter Akane in his arms, “I am not a cross dresser.”

Keiko couldn’t help but laugh and add in her own comment, “Childbirth hurts.”

Hearing her say that Kurama smiled thinking of his family. He clicked the button again and placed the camera down, “I’m going to go check on my mother; she should be awake by now.”

“Oh, tell her I’ll send Yusuke with the twins in the morning.”

“I will,” he opened the door and stepped out, “She’ll be glad to hear that after her sugary.”

When he closed the door again Yusuke turned to Keiko, “Do you think she gets to keep her appendix?”

“That would be really gross.”

The former detective raised an eyebrow, “You’re the one who told the doctor she could keep the placenta.”

The brunette would’ve elbowed him if she hadn’t been holding her child, “If Akane or Hiro gets sick that could really help them.”

He looked down at his children, “I’m not going to ask how.”

A comfortable silence fell on them as they watched their offspring sleep. Hiro yawned making them both smile. What happened next really made them happy. Their son opened up his eyes for the first time, fixing his large watery brown gaze on them. A soft cooing sound left his throat making them laugh.

Keiko leaned down and kissed his forehead beaming, “I love you.” She brushed away a few strands of jet black hair with her index finger. Yusuke turned his head and his wife did the same. He brushed his lips against hers softly, “Thank you,” he said, “You’ll never know how much I love you.”

Keiko kissed him one more time before resting her head on his shoulder, her eyes drooping a bit. This was one of the happiest days of her life and it was only in existence because of her husband. She wanted to tell him she loved him just as much, perhaps even more. Yet in a way she felt she didn’t have to. The squirming bundles in their arms spoke more than enough for her.

They were in love and their babies were a living sign of that. And Keiko knew she would live her life with him protecting that sign, watching them, as their love, grow stronger and wiser. Things almost seemed too good to be true, yet they were, and she thanked the gods everyday for giving her such a wonderful life.

-.-.-.-.-.-

I know it’s short, I’m sorry!

I wanted to thank each and every one of you personally for your reviews but when the third chap of this fic came out a new rule was passed- no responding to reviews in fics. Honestly that’s not what’s stopping me from placing your names here. ((sweatdrop)) I lost my paper with all of my responses on it. It’s really upsetting me that I can’t say thank you properly. So please forgive me. Until my next Yusuke and Keiko fic, have a wonderful life! Thank you! Happy Holidays!

Much Love,

SilverYouko300
