Her Happy Ending

Chapter 1: The Breakup

Hikari and Touji have been going out for the past month, but things now aren’t getting so hot thanks to some friends.

Touji & Kensuke

Touji: Why do you want to speak with me Kensuke?

Kensuke: Well, it’s about you and Hikari.

Touji: What about her?

Kensuke: Well you know that she hangs around Asuka right?

Touji: Yeah, they’re best buds, why?

Kensuke: Well, since she hangs around the red devil, don’t you think that she will soon start to act like her.

Touji: You may be right, but I trust Hikari, anyways she’s starting to hang around me a bit more.

Kensuke: But please consider what I said today, anything can happen.

Touji: I’ll think about it.

Kensuke: OK then bye.

Touji: Bye.

Asuka & Hikari

Hikari: What do you want Asuka?

Asuka: Well, it’s about you and the stooge.

Hikari: Please he’s not really a stooge and we’ve spoke of this so many times.

Asuka: I know, but I’m worried about what might happen. I’m worried how you’ll feel if he broke up with you.

Hikari: Don’t worry nothing will happen, I trust him.

Asuka still had a worried face and waved bye to Hikari.

Misato’s House

Misato: That was great Shinji!

Shinji: Thanks.

Just then Misato had a call to go to work which left Asuka and Shinji alone. So then Shinji began to play his cello. But he got interrupted by Asuka.

Asuka: Hey, Baka, how does Touji feel for Hikari?

Shinji: Well, Asuka haven’t you seen them the past few months? They’ve been going out.

Asuka: I know, but does Touji love her?

Shinji: Well I haven’t spoken to him about this, but I think so. If you want you can ask Kensuke, he spoke with Touji this afternoon.

Asuka: Listen here Baka! Make sure he doesn’t break her heart!

Shinji: I’m sorry Asuka, but I can’t control how he feels, I’m sorry.

After that Asuka picked him up but then put him down and fled to her room. Then Shinji started to feel concerned for Hikari.

School

( Just Shinji and Touji)

Shinji: Touji, are you and Hikari doing well?

Touji: Are you asking for me to break up with her like Kensuke did?

Shinji: NO! Of course not, you two are great together. What did Kensuke say?

Touji: Well he told me that I should break up with her because she might become like miss red head over there.

Shinji: He may be right but you trust her don’t you?

Touji just turned away and as the bell rung Shinji hoped that nothing bad will happen to them.

Lunch

Unfortunately at lunch things weren’t so hot and Touji’s words became cold.

Touji: WELL SORRY CLASS REP!

Hikari felt a void begin to open.

Hikari: Don’t call me that! I’m Hikari!

Touji: Whatever! I’m sorry but this might not work out.

Stunned by those words, Hikari began to cry.

Hikari: Are you... are you breaking up with me?

Touji: I’m afraid so.

At that moment everyone gasped, Hikari fell to the floor crying and Touji left the class. Asuka quickly went to Hikari’s side and Shinji left to speak to Touji, and Kensuke just sat down...

After School

HIkari thought to herself Why, what did I do wrong?

Let’s talk this over

It’s not like we’re dead.

Was it something I did?

Was it something you said?

Don’t leave me hanging

In a city so dead

Held up so high

On such a breakable thread

Asuka approached Hikari, but HIkari just ran.

Asuka: Poor Hikari.

Hikari ran and stopped as she saw Touji.

You were all the things I thought I knew

And I thought we could be

She just ignored him and ran home. When she arrived she locked her door and started to cry on her bed.

You were everything, everything that I wanted

We were meant to be supposed to be but we lost it

All of the memories so close to me just fade away

All this time you were pretending

So much for my happy ending

Misato’s Place

Misato: What’s with the long faces?

Asuka & Shinji: Hikari and Touji broke up.

Misato: Oh, why?

Asuka: It’s all that stupid stooge’s fault!

Shinji: I can’t understand why, one minute they’re arguing and then he breaks up with her. I thought it was going to work out fine. I tried to talk to Touji but he just wouldn’t listen.

Asuka: I wonder how Hikari is now...

The next day

It was a Saturday, and usually, Hikari would be hanging out with Touji, but today, its just Hikari and Asuka.

Asuka: I’m so sorry. But he was just a stooge, you’ll find someone better.

Hikari: But you don’t understand, he was mine, I loved him he loved me, he just can’t be replaced. Please do cut out the “there’s more fish in the sea” crap.

Asuka: Hikari...

Hikari: I think I’ll go for a walk, by myself.

Hikari just ran, leaving Asuka alone.

Asuka: Those stooges!

Park

Touji was just sitting under the tree when Kensuke came up to him.

Touji: What? Want me to break up with the tree?

Kensuke: I’m sorry Touji, but I think its for the best.

Touji: But everything was going great, we’ve had arguments before, but after you told me about the red head influencing her, I just didn’t know. I guess I just snapped.

Kensuke: It’s for the best man.

Just then Hikari walked by and noticed the two.

You’ve got your dumb friends

I know what they say

They tell you I’m difficult

But so are they

But they don’t know me

Do they even know you

All the things you hide from me

All the shit that you do

Just then Touji noticed her but turned away and she just ran.

Again she left to her room to cry and looked at all the photos of her and Touji. Good Times, Good Times.

All of the memories so close to me just fade away

All this time you were pretending so much for my happy ending.

She decided that the next time she sees him, she’ll scold him, uh, neve rmind. And so she fell into a deep sleep.

It was a great dream, she saw all of the dates they were on but then the moment he broke up with her...

It’s nice to know that you were there

Thanks for acting like you cared

And making me feel like I was the only one

It’s nice to know we had it all

Thanks for watching as I fall

And letting me know we were done
