She'd just wanted it to end. Just to get out of this forsaken village and go home. To take Mayu's hand and lead her away from this place of darkness.

But this had been their destiny…apparently.

She couldn't…wouldn't accept that this was what they'd really been born for – the mere sacrifice of her sister at her own hands.

She'd…she'd seen a ghost in the Kurasawa house…a man hiding behind the kimonos, oblivious to her presence and unable to move with fear. There was a many a time in All God's that she wished she could do the same and just go curl up in a corner, to just block out the horrors she'd already seen and to stop herself from going onwards, from uncovering the heart breaking truth.

But she had to carry on. She had to rescue her sister.

"Rescue her for this?" She whispered to the butterfly that led her away from the village, from the place she wished she'd never laid eyes on.

Thoughts returned to the fateful moment that she saw Mayu running off, maybe…maybe if she hadn't followed, if she'd let Mayu go…maybe then her twin would've survived?

And as she round the top of Misono hill, Mio realised that the rest of her life would be full of maybes now that her sister was dead...
