AUTHOR’S NOTE:
Hehe, another fanfic? I believe so… So here’s the deal, the first fanfic I ever wrote (up to 25 chapters, at least that was something… yeah?) sucked. Plainly, flatly sucked lol. And I am not up for updating Blue Fire right now- I haven’t given up on it, but I’m not up for it now. So this is on some sorts a renewal effort at a better version of my first fanfic. HOWEVER, though some things are similar, it is also completely different. I hope you’ll enjoy it! I was excited to write this. And yes, I will be updating often. :) Specualtions and suggestions are most welcomed!
I was inspired by listening to this amazing song “Everything burns” by Ben Moody and Anastacia- so that’s where the song credit goes to…
FANFIC EXPLANATION! Must Read to Understand
Ok well this fanfic can get complex, and complicated to understand. But that’s the last thing I want. So there will be lots of flashbacks, but some chapters will be entirely in the past. No worries, I’ll notify you at the beginning of each chapter for example chapter 3 will be all about the past. Also if things get too confusing, I might just summarize it in the end of each chapter… or just ask me ;)!
STORY’S SETTINGIt has NOTHING to do with General Hospital! No Casper, no NiCo, no Diego, no Jesse, no Reese Charlotte Roberts Marshall whatever, no A.J., no Durant… yet! NO SAM… well not yet at least lol! Jason and Courtney are happily married… There was no Alcazar kidnapping Courtney and miscarriage incident! Well basically it’s an altered universe!
Disclaimer: don’t sue! It’s for fun, I don’t own these characters::grin:

PROLOGUE-
Everything Burns
She sits in her corner
Singing herself to sleep
Wrapped in all of the promises
That no one seems to keep
She no longer cries to herself
No tears left to wash away
Just diaries of empty pages
Feelings gone a stray
But she will sing
She fumbled through her purse nervously. It was her fault. It was all her fault. She didn’t want to cause him pain. It was her mistake. Her heart shattered when she saw the face of her beloved look at her with such confusion, such agony. But she had no choice. She knew that he would never understand, that his blue eyes would never look her straight in her eyes again. She tried fighting back the tears… she didn’t want to hurt him, but it was for the best. She felt so ashamed, so unworthy.
No time, there was no time.
All sorts of junk had claimed her purse as home. Old receipts, empty gum packages and scrunched up paper balls. She feverishly scanned the contents of her purse as quickly swiped away the tears sliding down her face. Her fingers brushed up against a cool metal. She finally retrieved the key as she inserted it into the lock hole. Her hands trembled as she struggled to open the door of the dark room. Her two-inch heal made a ‘crunch’ noise as she stepped into the loft. She looked down and saw the shattered pieces of glass everywhere. Her loft was a dump. Everything was broken and the drawers had been opened and rummaged through. She shook her head, horrified as she realized it was too late. They had found her. Her delicate manicured fingers brushed on the small light switch and flipped it on.
Her hand clasped on her face and she gasped. Tears of fear and utter horror ran down her face as she hysterically shook her head at the scene in front of her. Her eyes caught the man sitting on the sofa in front of her. He toppled a leg over the other and stared her dead in the eyes.
“Please…” she pleaded, as her heart wrenched.
He gave her a look of such sorrow, such utter pity that it made her stomach sick. She could feel her heart ripping from her thoracic cage, her legs wobbled, unable on her feet. She didn’t want his pity.
She tilted her head downwards and closed her eyes. Black stained tears came tumbling down her soft skin. Why bother? What did she have to live for anyways? The way Jason’s cold eyes had disregarded her. She had managed to push away the one person that mattered the most… She couldn’t live with herself. She couldn’t see the look on his face over and over again. That look of utter disgust.
“I’m sorry,” breathed the man, for once sincerely.
BANG.
A sharp pain daggered her body. Her face twitched in pain. She felt like screeching in agony… and then there was nothing.
til everything burns
While everyone screams
Burning their lies
Burning my dreams
All of this hate
And all of this pain
I'll burn it all down
As my anger reigns
Til everything burns
Jason was slipping out of touch of reality by the second. There was this dense darkness cast in his gaze. He sat there on his couch, completely blank… what was he supposed to think? What could he possible think when his whole world was crumbling down? His soul ripped over and over again, as he played the scene over and over in his head. That angelic face… oh he loved her so much, how could she hurt him so? Him mind was reeling feverishly. Anyone who saw him would think he’s going mad. His pearly deep blue eyes that never revealed anything were shaded with salty tears as they glistened down his cheek. Yes, perhaps he was going a little mad inside. He couldn’t clear his mind, he couldn’t understand nor grasp what had happened.
How could she hurt him so?
The images scarred his heart, tainting his mind. His tender heart was broking even more by the second. He looked like a zombie.
How could she have hurt him like that?
It pained him, agonized him. It haunted his every breath. Breath. He could barely breathe. It as a struggle for him to think or even draw a breath. For a second there, he had contemplated his gun… oh his gun, it was his friend, his deliverance, his grave. His sky was shattering before him. He was bleeding inside.
His body was limp. The pain from his bleeding wound was nothing compared to the fierce battle going on in his mind.
He loved her so much. So, so much. He loved her to the point that it ached every fiber of his body and soul. She was his wife! They were supposed to build a life together!
It was over, it was all over.
Blood seeped through his wound, gently pouring his life out of his body, as he contemplated the darkness of his house. This house was filled with so many haunting memories. Her smile, her beautiful smile was to be forever etched in his soul.
She had looked at him in the eyes, she had lied to him, she had cried… but it didn’t matter anymore. His life was forever to be changed.
Change, change. Change never use to be something foreign to him. He welcomed change, because he was never attached for something before. But now, he was mortified at the thought. He couldn’t even bare to grasp that thought. How could he live without her graceful smile by his side? How could he breathe without he delicate hands in his.
The way she looked at him, the way he angelic blue sapphires pleaded.
It was all over, nothing will never be the same… She inflicted all of this on him. He was mad. He was hurt. He hated her for it, yet loved her so much.
“Why?” his voice pained as he barely managed to speak. Just hearing the tone of his voice made your heart wrench in agony. His face twisted with the madness within.
It was all over.
Little did her know what fate had in store for him. A sickening and ironic twist of fate.
…Oh, sweet redemption…
End’s Note: yes short prologue, I know! Ok truthfully, I don’t quite like the prologue very much but it’s just to set the wheel in motion and put the plot out there. This is a dramatic, angst fanfic, though the story gets lighter sometimes. There are also fluff and romantic moments!
