Do you hear that in the night

The chill in the air as the Hessian rides

Following his next victim down with his steed

As the man cowardly dashes to flee

In the eerie village of Sleepy Hollow

Another victim is being followed

Then with a swoosh of a blade

The man's head is clopped away

And all that is left of him is an echoing shriek

As the horseman's steed lets out a neigh so bleak

Now how far can a man go without a head

How far can he move before he winds up dead

Not very far, you can be sure

Before he stumbles to the cold floor

And all of the townspeople know of this story

Under the wrath of the Headless Horseman they cower and worry

But no one seems to know of the day

When they'll be under the sword as the horseman gallops away

If you like my Sleepy Hollow stories and poetry, tomorrow I'll be getting my laptop returned to me from my friend which contains many stories and poetry of Sleepy Hollow and, of course, ones of my favorite hero, Ichabod Crane.
