Dark Side
By Silver Sailor Ganymede

Everyone has a dark side: everyone. Even the most innocent and 'pure' have souls that have been tainted by the Hell that is our time, and Ginny Weasley is no exception to that rule.

The innocent-looking, red-haired Gryffindor was believed to be just another Weasley, just another poor, prideless bloodtraitor. She seemed innocent and naïve even at the age of sixteen; but she had, in fact, been anything but naïve ever since her encounter with Tom Riddle's diary in her first-year. Everyone around her had simply been too wrapped-up in their own lives and the war against Voldemort to care.

So imagine their surprise when that innocent little girl whose very name meant 'white', the colour that symbolises purity, turned out to be anything but pure. Her soul had been tainted by the influence of the Dark Lord – and when darkness such as that enters ones soul, one can never be rid of it, no matter how pure they were before the darkness came into them. Why, a girl who seemed an angel was turned into a demon queen by that darkness… or so it seemed. Or had her soul always been dark, even before the darkness took her? No one could tell you because no one would have known; not even her family would have realised that their seemingly angelic daughter had a tainted, dark soul.

As far as anyone knew, or rather, bothered to think, it was Ginny's past possession by the Dark Lord that had tainted her. But it wasn't, was it? She had been born under a cursed star, for certain, for few have souls that bare such darkness within them, few souls have the capability of letting their hosts do as she did without any remorse.

You see, most expected that Harry Potter would defeat the Dark Lord, Voldemort, but no one, living or dead, would ever have expected the way in which he finally fell.

She had been his downfall, the one whom he thought he loved. But alas, she did not love him back, and she eventually killed him to avenge the one whom she had truly loved. You see, poor, innocent, little Ginny Weasley was dark, a demoness, and a lover of the Dark Lord, and so it was that she, the one who seemed to be an angel, had done what the Dark Lord himself could not do: she had killed him. She had killed Harry James Potter, the 'Chosen One', without even the slightest remorse for what she had done.

After a while they had caught her. They had caught Ginny Weasley and given unto her a fate that even one such as she should never have to face; they had taken her to the Dementors.

The girl's soulless body was said to have cried tears of blood as it sat in its cell, and it was said to have died soon after. Little Ginny Weasley, a once supposedly pure girl, was now in a place that made Hell itself seem like Heaven.

Let this sad and sorry tale tell a message to you all; everyone, absolutely everyone, has a dark side… especially those from whom you would least expect it.
