Chapter 1: Six Sense

It's the season of Autumn in the city of Tomoeda. The leaves on the trees are a beautiful shade of orange and yellow, while the weather is a mild to moderate warm. With it being the season of autumn, Halloween is right around the corner and the residences of Tomoeda are preparing for the upcoming holiday.

Tomoeda Elementary

Tomoeda Elementary is still in session, as the time for dismal hasn't arrived yet, but the end of the school day is coming to a close soon.

Sakura's class

"So you see class, many civilizations didn't have the technology that we have today, so they had to make due with what they had." Mr. Terada continues. "The Aztecs, however, were the most famous among the ancient civilizations because they were the most intelligent and found a way to revolutionize what they had, along with what they found."

Before Mr. Terada can speak another word on the lesson, the dismissal bell sounds.

"Well class, that concludes our history lesson for the day." Mr. Terada says as he closes his history book and places it on the podium. "But before I dismiss you all, I would like to bring to your attention about Tomoeda's annual Halloween dance that is being held this Friday night and would like to know who would like to volunteer in helping set it up."

Looking out among the class, Mr. Terada notices that Sakura and her friends has their hands up.

"Ah yes Sakura, Tomoyo, Chiharu, Naoka and Rika." Mr. Terada speaks as he grabs a sheet of paper from under his history book on the podium and begins writing their names down. "Thanks so much for volunteering ladies."

Now having their names written down, Mr. Terada turns his attention back to the class.

"Do I have any other volunteers who would like to give them a hand?" Mr. Terada inquires to the class as Eriol raises his hand.

"I would." Eriol speaks up, which alerts Syaoran. Turning around and seeing that Eriol has his hand up, Syaoran shoots his hand up.

"So would I." Syaoran speaks up.

"Alright then Mr. Hiiragizawa and Mr. Syaoran." Mr. Terada speaks as he writes both of their names on the list.

"Anyone else?" Mr. Terada speaks as he looks out among the class once more. Seeing that no one else has their hands up, Mr. Terada places the volunteer list on his desk. "Alright, class dismissed and for homework, read pages 32 -39. See you all tomorrow and for you volunteers, see you after school. You can pick up the materials for the dance in the supply closet by the cafeteria."

Everyone rises from their seats as the class begins gathering their things and piling out. Sakura rises from her seat and grabs her backpack from the back of her chair as her friends surround her desk.

"I have the perfect idea in mind as to how we can arrange everything for the dance." Rika says to Sakura as Sakura places her backpack on her back.

"Oh really?" Sakura inquires with a smile. "I can't wait to see what you have in mind."

"Me too." Chiharu replies as the five girls walk away from Sakura's desk and begins heading towards the exit of the class. "Because whoever set things up last year did a horrible job."

"I have to agree with you there." Naoko comments as the five exit the class and begins down the hall.

"Well, before we can begin planning out any ideas, we have cheerleading practice to face with first." Sakura reminds them.

"Oh yeah, I forgot that we had practice today." Naoko speaks. "I wonder where we are going to have practice once we begin decorating the gym."

Before any of the girls can reply to Naoko's inquiry, Syaoran's voice suddenly sounds from behind them.

"Sakura!" The girls hear as they stop and turn around, noticing Syaoran and Eriol running in their direction from the classroom. Now being close enough, Syaoran and Eriol stops an inch from the group.

"Hey Syaoran." Sakura greets him with a smile.

"Hey Sakura." Syaoran greets back. "So where are you headed off to?"

"Cheerleading practice." Sakura answers him. "But after practice, we're all going to get started working on the dance right away. Rika has a great idea as to how everything can be arranged."

"Ok then." Syaoran speaks. "Well, to help speed things along a bit,

I'm going to get a head start and grab some of the materials for the dance."

"Sure ok." Sakura replies. "Thanks so much for helping us out."

"No problem." Syaoran says with a smile. "So I'll see you after practice."

"Ok, see you then." Sakura replies, returning the smile as Syaoran begins down the hall.

"I'm going to go give him a hand." Eriol speaks with a smile. "So I'll see you all later."

Before walking off, Eriol winks at Tomoyo and then turns and begins down the hall behind Syaoran.

"Well, that makes setting up the event a bit easier for us." Naoko comments as the girls watch both boys continue down the hall until they are out of sight.

"That it does." Rika speaks as they all continue down the hall and now making a right into the hall that leads to the gym. "So, what costumes are you guys going to wear to the dance?"

"Well, I did see this vampire mistress costume at the mall the other day." Chiharu speaks up. "So that might be my costume, unless I find something else I might like better."

"I'm going as an adorable bunny because they are so cute." Naoko answers. "What about you Rika?"

"I really haven't thought about it." Rika replies. "The dance isn't until Friday, so I have plenty of time to shop around for one."

"Well, I'm going as a witch." Tomoyo adds in. "I'm going to design my costume and hope that Eriol likes it."

"I don't see him not liking it." Chiharu comments with a giggle. "So what about you Sakura? What costume are you going to wear to the dance?"

"I don't know yet." Sakura replies as the girls enter the gym. "I have to think about it."

"Oh, I have the perfect costume in mind for you Sakura." Tomoyo speaks up. "You can come to the dance as a princess and Syaoran can come as your prince. I'll design both of your costumes."

"Ok, that'll be great Tomoyo, thanks." Sakura thanks her best friend. "That saves the both of us time and energy from having to look all over for one."

"Well, time for practice." Naoko comments as the girls stop in front of the bleachers.

"Hey Tomoyo, Rika." Sakura begins. "If you guys want, you can go help Syaoran and Eriol with gathering some of the materials for the dance."

"Sure, I'll help them." Rika replies with excitement.

"I'll stick around and record the practice session." Tomoyo answers as she removes her camcorder from her backpack.

"Alright then." Rika speaks. "See you guys after practice."

Rika waves to her friends as she leaves the gym and Tomoyo takes a seat on the bleachers. Sakura, Chiharu, and Naoko head to the locker room with the other cheerleaders to prepare for practice.

Syaoran's Locker

Syaoran turns the combination lock to the last number as the locker now opens. Placing his backpack inside, Syaoran closes his locker and turns to leave for when Eriol suddenly appears, which gives Syaoran a slight scare.

"Well, I'm ready to get started when you are." Eriol says with a smile. Giving Eriol a glare, Syaoran releases a sigh.

"Whatever." Syaoran speaks in a low tone as he passes Eriol and begins down the hall. Eriol shakes off Syaoran's expression and follows behind him.

Now walking down the hall towards the supply closet, a cone of silence falls around the two. Not being comfortable with the silence, Eriol strikes up a conversation.

"You know, I've always been very fond of Halloween." Eriol begins speaking. "I can't quite describe why I do, but It's my favorite holiday next to Christmas and my birthday."

Syaoran continues walking in silence as Eriol continues talking.

"I can't wait to see what costume Tomoyo wears to the dance." Eriol continues. "I don't even know what I'm going to wear, but I'm sure I'll think of something soon."

Now being a few feet away from the supply closet and continuing to ignore Eriol, a strong eerie feeling suddenly hits Syaoran, making him stop dead in his tracks as he sharply turns his attention towards the window.

"When I was in England, they never-Eriol continues, but is suddenly cut off when he notices that Syaoran has stopped moving and is looking out the window.

:This feeling.: Syaoran mentally says to himself as he keeps his attention focused towards the window. :It's very strong.:

"Syaoran, are you ok?" Eriol inquires to Syaoran.

:This feeling is strong as if a Clow card is somewhere near by.: Syaoran continues, not hearing Eriol's question. :But it can't be a Clow card because Sakura has them all. Something isn't right.:

Not getting a response from Syaoran, Eriol walks up behind Syaoran and taps him on shoulder. Having felt the tap, Syaoran snaps out of his zone and turns to Eriol.

"Are you ok?" Eriol repeats himself with concern.

Giving Eriol a glare, Syaoran turns back towards the window.

"Just fine." Syaoran snaps as he now turns away from the window and continues towards the supply closet with Eriol trailing him.

Now reaching the supply closet, Syaoran opens the door and steps inside as he flips the light switch on. Looking among the shelves, Syaoran spots the Halloween decorations on the middle shelves and grabs a box. Leaving the closet, Eriol enters just as Rika appears.

"Hey Syaoran." Rika greets, now catching Syaoran's attention.

"Hey Rika." Syaoran greets to her. "I thought you were with the others."

"I was, but Sakura suggested that I come and give you guys a hand." Rika answers him as Eriol comes out of the closet with a box.

"Alright then." Syaoran speaks. "Look on the middle shelves and grab a box."

Rika nods as she enters the closet. Now looking on the middle shelves, Rika grabs a box and then exit's the closet. Now having a box each, Syaoran, Rika and Eriol are now heading for the gym.

Locker Room

Cheerleading practice has just ended and the girls are in the locker room changing.

"I am so glad practice is over." Chiharu speaks as she begins tying up right her shoe. "Now we can get started decorating and if it's not too late, go shopping for my costume afterwards."

"Well, I can't wait to see what Rika has in mind for dance." Naoko says as she places her cheerleading uniform inside the locker.

"Well she is very creative." Sakura speaks as she finishes tying up her left shoe and stands from sitting on the bench. "So whatever idea that she comes up with, I know it will be great."

"Well, let's go get started decorating." Naoko says as she grabs her backpack and heads towards the exit of the locker room. Sakura and Chiharu grabs theirs as well and they all leave the locker room together.

Now entering the main gym, the three girls notice Syaoran, Eriol and Rika enter the gym. Tomoyo turns her camcorder off and places it in her backpack as she climbs off the bleachers. Now joining up with Sakura, Chiharu and Naoko, the four make their way towards Syaoran, Eriol and Rika.

"Hey guys." Naoko greets to the three as the girls stop an inch from the three. "Well, we're ready to get started."

"Ok, follow me." Eriol says to Naoka as he puts his box down.

Naoko, Chiharu, Tomoyo and Rika all follow Eriol out of the gym as Syaoran places his box down.

"Well, we better catch up." Sakura speaks to Syaoran as he faces her.

"We will, but before we do, I have something to tell you." Syaoran speaks with concern as he catches with Sakura's gaze.

"What is it?" Sakura inquires, seeing the concern in Syaoran's eyes.

"Earlier when me and Eriol were heading to the supply closet, strong feeling hit me as if a powerful presence is near by." Syaoran explains.

"A powerful presence?" Sakura inquires in confusion. "Like what?"

"It felt more like a Clow card is near by." Syaoran finishes explaining.

"I captured all of the Clow cards so that can't be what you felt." Sakura says to Syaoran. "You probably felt a chill because after all, it is fall."

Turning his worried expression into a smile, Syaoran nods.

"You're probably right." Syaoran speaks. "Well, let's go catch up with the others."

Sakura smiles as she and Syaoran leave the gym to go catch up with everyone else.

The sun is beaming brightly over the city as a black shadow suddenly appears in front of it, but soon vanishes as distant evil laughter echoes through the sky.

A/N: Ok end of chapter 1 and I apologize if it is boring. After all this is chapter 1 so no real action happens yet, but as the story continues, it will get better. You have my promise on that one.
