Being King Ain’t All It’s Cracked Up To Be

“I do not understand. If you were able to defeat these half-breeds to become king, why did you not stay where you could rule?”

Illyria frowned upon her metal-handed companion. She had adopted this man as her new guide, after his repeated failed attempts to kill her. Though his incessant talking annoyed her, he seemed to be a warrior of skill and cunning the likes of which she had not yet encountered since she had awoken. The device he attached to his arm was, additionally, rather impressive.

Ashley J. Williams smirked. “Being king ain’t all it’s cracked up to be, ‘Lyrie.”
