It was in it's ultimate form. The 'optics' deactivated, as it felt the ever-lasting warmth that was the spark of the bot it was bound to, all around and in it.
This was the safest place any power knew, if the bot was a good one. For there was some who truly were evil down to their sparks. A part of the Power knew that it, like any other Powercon that had fused with the proper partner, never wanted to leave.
It was just…right to be here. To feel the other's spark, life force, soul around their own.
If a Powercon had the right partner, it would freely give it's power unhindered to the bot. That energy would thus alter the bot's outer shell, giving it new armor and weapons that suited who the bot was.
It didn't matter if the Powercon was male and the bot was 'female', vise versa, or a male Powercon to 'male' bot. It the bot was truly lucky, he, or she, would unending love of a Powercon and thus it's willingness to fuse. To bind it's spark with its partner and give him all the extra energy and power he needs.
It 'blinked' into the energy sphere that was it's Autobot's spark and stretched out its senses. It felt pain. The old, yet strong, kind that's brought on by memories and grief. The Powercon tried to comfort it's partner, and redirect his attention to the battle at hand.
Once that was done it deactivated optics again and carefully shifted through it's bounded's emotions and tried to calm him down. It was, after all, a very bad idea to go charging into a fight blinded be rage or hate.
It felt it's spark almost twist in fear and pain at the thought of losing the one it chose to be with.
Unfortunately, what most don't know is that once a Powercon has given it's love and loyalty to some one, it would do anything to protect him. Wither it be an inbound missal, an enemy or even another Powercon. If one wasn't careful about fusing, their Powercon would die inside his spark by giving him everything.
That almost happened once. After all the Autobots, and the Decepticons, took care to not let that happen again. A long living Powercon that could continue to fuse was far better then one blaze of glory after all.
It felt the battle ending. Soon it would have to leave this warm, safe place and return to both the real world and to it's senses. Then all to soon it was time. It felt it's bounded tugging at it to loosen it's hold on the fusion.
It resisted at first, but it's partner gave a clear order that it reluctantly obeyed.
Bluestreak's optics flicked on, he was flat on his back, his door wings digging into the ground. In a way that was most uncomfortable. Now, how did Jazz, Skids, Ironhide and the twins do it? Each time they come out of the fusion with their Powercons their mostly stay on their feet.
And here I am, the gunner thought, looking up at the sky. Again.
A quizzical chip made Bluestreak lift his head as a failure weight steeled on his chest. The young gunner smiled as her watched as a beast mode Flash (his Powercon) tilts his head and chirp again.
"I'm okay Flash. Thank you." Bluestreak reached up and lightly scratched the back of the green and white striped raptor's head. He grinned as the Powercon gave a low, deep growling sound that the Autobot had long since learned was his version of a purr.
Flash took a few steps forward and the near mute Powercon licked Bluestreak's jaw before rubbing his head against it. His way of saying 'you are welcome.'
Bluestreak smiled more as did his teammates came over to check on the two. For a few minutes, as Flash licked and purred away in celebration of a battle won, Bluestreak forgot about the taunts the Decepticons had made about his lost home city. Forgot about everything, and in the middle of a battle field, covered with oil, energon and black residue with and over sized green raptor licking his face, Bluestreak was happy.
Even if it would only last a few minutes, it was worth it.
Anyway.
This what happens when I have Powercon fusion on my mind and have time between class and work. No real point in this, so I guess it a PWP fic (Point? What point?) but if you see one in this I'd love to hear what you think.
I think I was just getting some of my thoughts on Powercons and fusion out. Well, got to go to work.
