Ed would not admit it, but he had a secret addiction:

Cheese.

As the young alchemist could not understand many things, Edward simply couldn't fathom how something made with such a grotesque ingredient (milk), could taste so good.

It was to a point that he had specifications to how he liked cheese.

He loved cheese fresh from a delicatessen, and sliced paper thin. Having cheese available was an absolute must, seeing as it was surprisingly useful. You could make sandwiches, an omelette, fondue... or just eat it out of the wax packaging, as Edward preferred.

So naturally, when Ed awoke one morning and found that the refrigerator was bare, he was ready to wreak havoc.

"Mustang, you bastard, would it kill you to get off your ass, and go food shopping!" Edward ranted to the colonel, who was lazily lounging on the living room couch.

Not in a mood to deal with one of Ed's rampages, Mustang simply delivered one suicidal statement.

"I know you can only reach the supermarket shelves to a certain extent, but since you just sounded like a nagging wife, I think shopping lies in your jurisdiction."

It was only when Edward seemed ready to give him another black eye that Mustang decided that today was a perfect day to restock the refrigerator.
