When I loved you

We were whole.

We were happy.

But then he had to hurt me,

And by hurting me

He hurt you.

And that I would never allow.

So I made the memories go away

And I let your spirit soar,

Knowing you would be happier with someone else

And not with me.

I didn't care about me,

Not then not now,

All I wanted was for you

To be happy.

Is that to much to ask?
