Pretty Soldier Sailormoon Series: Episode 205: The Battle

Sailor Star Dust

April-May.2001 REVISED: August/December 2006-January 2007

Rating: PG-13

AN: One major fic revision from the original version is a removed scene replaced with a rewrite. (Originally in the scene, Usagi was afraid Mamoru was mad about something, but I didn't like how Usagi's personality turned out.) Please enjoy the revision!

Usagi and Mamoru walked through Juuban without a care in the world.

Mamoru looked at his wife lovingly as he put an arm around her 8th month pregnant stomach.

"You're beautiful, Usa-ko..."

Usagi giggled in reply.

"Mamo-chan, you're so sweet."

She suddenly bent over in pain.

"Ow!"

Mamoru looked at her concerned.

"Usa, are you okay?"

"Yeah, it's just the baby. That's all."

He gently led her to a bench.

"Come on. You need to sit down."

Mamoru squeezed her hand to comfort her.

"Is there anything I can get you, baby?"

Usagi shrugged, feeling a bit tried.

"Actually, a few minutes alone would be nice. I need some time to think about things."

He kissed her cheek. "Alright, then. If you need me, I'll be in that coffee shop over there."

With a wave, Mamoru was gone.

Usagi let out a breath, and leaned her head against the bench.

I enjoy being pregnant, but jeez, it's tiring! Still...I wouldn't trade it for anything else in the world.

She heard the familiar chuckling of two voices from behind her.

Usagi blinked and slowly turned around.

Halite and Kyrite were grinning evilly.

"Did you miss us, Sailor Moon?"

The blonde sweat-dropped, trying her best to stand. "Hardly!"

Kyrite formed a ball of energy in his hands.

"DIE!"

Usagi felt a familiar pair of arms push her out of the way.

"Mamo-chan!"

Mamoru, not taking his eyes off the two, yelled: "Usa-ko! Get out of here!"

She shook her head in protest. "No way!"

"Usa-ko!"

Halite threw a massive amount of energy at Mamoru...

"Mamo-chan, watch out!"

Usagi pushed him out of harm's way, and the couple fell onto the ground.

Bruises were on their bodies from the impact.

Halite and Kyrite went in for the kill...

"Star Serious Laser!"

Sailor Star Fighter narrowed her eyes, standing protectively in front of the couple. "Leave them alone or else you answer to me!"

Halite growled, knowing full well fighting there and then would give the warriors the upper hand.

"Damn it! We'll get you when we come back!"

With that, the two disappeared.

A half an hour later, the Sailor Senshi were at the temple.

Minako asked: "So, Halite and Kyrite returned?"

Usagi frowned out of worry.

"Yeah. They attacked Mamo-chan and I."

Rei crossed her arms as she narrowed purple eyes at the blonde.

"Usagi, you know damn well you're in NO position to fight!"

Usagi glared at her in reply.

"I know that! But what if I have no choice? I won't allow the people I love to get killed because of me!"

Luna raised an eyebrow. "Have you no faith in us? It's not like you to be so worried, Usagi-chan."

"She has good reason to."

Everyone turned to look at Setsuna.

"Your whole future can't be known, as some of it depends on choices made now. However, this is something I must tell you. During the Silver Millennium, Halite and Kyrite were allies of the Dark Kingdom and Dead Moon."

Usagi felt sick to her stomach.

"No way...So that's how they know of me and the Silver Crystal."

"Queen Beryl promised them anything for their help. So, being power-hungry and mad, they joined her."

Mamoru scoffed out of disgust.

"Since when would Beryl be one to make promises?"

"They managed to steal the Silver Crystal. Parts of it were somehow absorbed into their bodies. Fortunately, the crystal was retrieved intact before anything chaotic happened."

Minako blinked out of remembrance.

"That's right. But before we could destroy those two, Beryl sent some henchmen for us to fight while they escaped..."

Nodding slightly, Setsuna continued.

"Because of what happened, the Silver Crystal made them as powerful as you, Princess. After all, it can be used for great healing or great destruction, depending on the owner's heart."

Usagi's blood ran cold.

"Setsuna-san...Tell me: what does all this mean?"

Her lips barely parted at the bone-chilling words: "They have the power to destroy the world."

Hotaru narrowed her eyes.

"That can't be! Couldn't I kill them before they attack?"

"If not, everything shall be lost."

Usagi slowly took everything into account.

I've made it this far, but what can I do about this problem? At least I have my friends with me; I'm sure together we can think of a good plan.

She let out a sigh. But no matter what happens, I won't let the enemy win!

Her sky-blue eyes shone brightly in determination.

The next day, Mamoru was on-call at the hospital.

"Usa-ko, who would you like to take care of you?"

The blonde waved her hand back and forth as she blushed.

"Jeez, you worry too much! Mamo-chan, I'll be fine."

"You'll be fine? Usa-ko, you're 8 months pregnant! What if something happens while I'm working?"

"Oh, alright. In that case, would you mind if Seiya stopped by?"

He shrugged.

"Not in the least. I know she's one of you're friends."

"Yay! Thanks, Mamo-chan!"

He was immediately engulfed in her arms with an over-weight Usagi bear hug.

"Usa-ko, you don't have to thank me all the time."

"Of course I do! I'm not used to you being this sweet!"

Making a funny face, Mamoru asked, "Should I take that as a compliment or an insult?"

20 minutes later, Seiya came.

Sitting down on the sofa with the cup of tea Usagi made her, she patiently waited for the couple to say their good-byes.

"Usa-ko, if you need anything at all, call me."

The blonde looked at him sadly as she nodded.

"Mamo-chan, when will you be home?"

"I may have to work late tonight, but only if they absolutely need me."

Suddenly remembering something, he added: "Please don't wait up for me with dinner. I'll get something at the convenience store on the way home, okay?"

"Oh, okay. Just remember that tomorrow, I'm cooking you something!"

Lightly auguring with her, the man replied, "I can cook, too, and I want you to take. It. Easy. Got that?"

She rolled her eyes, muttering, "Yes, mother."

Ignoring the comment, Mamoru nodded slightly as he turned to Seiya.

"Thank you, Seiya."

The dark-haired girl winked in reply.

"Mamoru-san, I'm more then happy to help."

Mamoru patted his wife on the head, teasing her.

"Now remember to behave for Seiya, Odango Atama!"

The blonde narrowed her eyes and in mock-anger yelled: "Quiet, baka!"

Noticing the time, Seiya blinked.

"Um, Mamoru-san, aren't you going to be late for work?"

"Oh, SHIT!"

Waving goodbye, Usagi laughed as Mamoru ran out the door.

"Later, Mamo-chan! Have fun doing the 100 meter dash!"

Usagi and Seiya were on standing out on the balcony, enjoying the beautiful day.

"Well, Seiya, now we finally have a chance to know each other."

Seiya nodded happily in reply.

"Yeah. Hey, Usagi...Besides being Sailor Moon, what was that other secret you kept from me? You know, there were a few times I teased you about Chibi being your daughter, and it seemed to freak you out."

Rubbing the back of her neck, Usagi let out a sigh.

Come to think of it, I wonder how Chibi-Chibi is doing. Was she really Galaxia's Starseed? A part of me doesn't believe it. That peaceful aura she had reminded me so much of someone else, but I can't place who.

"Yeah, I remember that. Um, you see, I...have a future daughter named Chibi-Usa."

Seiya's eyes widened at revelation. Odango?

"No way! She's the kid you're going to have!"

The blonde turned red from happiness and embarrassment.

"Yes, she is."

"Congratulations. I'm sure you'll make a great mother."

Usagi blushed again.

"Thank you, I hope so. I want to make Mamo-chan proud of me."

Seiya sighed, hoping she would one day find a wonderful girl herself.

"You love Mamoru-san a lot, don't you?"

"With all my heart and even more."

"Usagi, hang onto him. He's the prefect guy for you."

Usagi laughed from remembrance.

She didn't need to be depressed when remembering all that happened between them years ago.

Now that they were together, Usagi could look back at those times and be

thankful for the present.

"If you only saw the things we went through for us to be together!"

She gave a sly smile and nudged Seiya in the ribs.

"So, Seiya-chan, do YOU have any secrets you kept from me?"

"No. I'm just happy for you..."

Usagi gave Seiya a quick hug.

"I'm glad everyone likes you, Yaten-kun, and Taiki-san now..."

"Thanks, Usagi. I'm glad, too."

Looking out towards the horizon where the beautiful sunset was, there was sadness in Seiya's eyes.

I just hope we can defeat this enemy together...

It was about midnight when Mamoru got home.

Greeting her husband, Usagi and Mamoru sat on the couch.

"Mamo-chan!" "Hey, baby. You didn't have to stay up to wait for me." "Yeah, but I wanted to..."

Mamoru had his arms around Usagi as they cuddled.

"Usa-ko..."

"Hmm?"

He sighed.

"I'm really worried about this enemy. I mean, we have no idea when they'll attack next, and since you can't fight-"

She was confused.

"Huh? What do you mean, I can't fight, Mamo-chan? The next time they show up, I'll defeat the enemy even before they try anything!"

Somewhat annoyed, Mamoru replied, "Are you crazy? There's no way I'd allow you to fight in your condition! Usa-ko, you could be killed!"

Trying to reassure him, Usagi kissed his cheek.

"Mamo-chan, I'm sure things will be alright. If everyone works together, then we can come up with some plan to-"

"It's too dangerous for you to fight, Usa-ko! Let everyone else handle this, okay?"

"Wait a minute! Just because I'm pregnant doesn't mean I'm excluded out of making any decisions! How can you even say that?"

"Don't you care about your own safety?"

"I do care about my safety, but why can't you let me have a say in this? If I have to fight, then I don't have a choice! I'm a Sailor Soldier! I can't take it easy when it's my duty to protect the world!"

Mamoru yelled: "I don't CARE if you're a Sailor Soldier! You're also my wife!"

She was surprised at how much he cared about her and was about to reply...

When he stood, adding: "I forbid you to fight."

Upset that Mamoru was restricting her, she stood, trembling.

Her voice shook: "Here I am, thinking you care about my well-being, when in reality..."

She looked into his eyes for a moment in silence.

Finally, she yelled, slapping him. "You only care about yourself!"

He looked at her, shocked.

Did he realize it was the truth?

The man narrowed his eyes at her.

"If you're going to be like this, then fine! I could care less what happens to you!"

Usagi would have replied, but she suddenly felt sick.

Turning pale, she raced towards the bathroom.

As Mamoru stood outside, his thoughts raced.

Trembling, he pounded a fist into the wall out of anger.

"DAMN IT! That fucking enemy is ruining everything!"

Mamoru blinked when he realized it.

Usagi reappeared in the hallway and was looking at him with wide, frightened, eyes.

Her eyes were actually... frightened...of him?

Slowly, gently, she placed her hand over his, her soft-blue eyes concerned.

"Mamo-chan...Is everything okay?"

He averted his eyes from her...

...And spoke in a cold tone.

"Things COULD be better, but why the HELL would they be?"

"Mamo-chan..."

"After all, whenever we get a bit of happiness, it's instantly snatched away from us!"

She involuntary shivered out of fear.

Her eyes began watering, but she managed to blink it away.

"Mamo-chan, please...Calm down... Things will be okay, won't they?"

After what seemed like forever, Mamoru finally turned back to her.

Usagi made a small noise of worry. "Ma...Mamo-chan..."

His eyes were narrowed coldly.

The look in his eyes always affected Usagi the most.

If Mamoru's eyes remained calm, Usagi would believe everything would be all right.

If his eyes looked angry, however...

"Mamo-chan...Please...Just calm down!"

Usagi whined this terribly, like a young child would.

Suddenly having the urge to use the bathroom, she rushed into the hallway, only the floor with a thud.

"I hate this!", she whined sadly.

Realizing his wife's distress, Mamoru ran to her side.

"Are you okay?" "Yeah...besides the fact that I'm freaked out with how you're acting..."

Silence as Mamoru put her down by the bathroom door.

"Please be careful, Usa-ko. You could hurt Chibi-Usa if you're not careful enough!"

"You're right. I'm sorry..."

"Usa-ko?"

"Yes?"

He let out a long sigh. "Please forgive me for blowing up like tonight. I'm really stressed out right now, but that's not an excuse to treat you coldly. I have to remember that we WILL think of something, together."

The blonde nodded, a gentle smile on her face.

"It's alright, Mamo-chan. Things are going to be okay, I promise you."

Sighing, she closed the bathroom door.

After Usagi was finally ready for bed, she realized Mamoru was waiting for her.

Her young husband was leaning against the wall, eyes downcast, lost in thought.

Looking up to meet her eyes, Mamoru quietly spoke.

"I had absolutely no right to say any of those things to you, Usa-ko."

"Then why did Mamo-chan say them?"

As Mamoru spoke, he gingerly fixed her somewhat disheveled hair.

Usagi felt her eyes quiver.

He's being so sweet...

Mamoru actually gave her one of his warm, loving, smiles.

"I said those things because I'm a stupid jerk."

The blonde held back a giggle.

"Mamo-chan, you're not!"

"I'm worried about the enemy hurting you, Usa-ko. That's why I said that. Still, the final decision should be up to you and you alone."

She kissed his cheek, a sign that all was forgiven.

"Mamo-chan... Please forgive me for what I said."

"Usa-ko...I'm so sorry I acted like such a jerk."

The blonde felt him wrap his arms around her stomach...

He whispered in her ear as a smile formed on his lips.

"Let's go to bed, Usa-ko..."

She giggled out of giddiness.

"Yeah. Let's."

That night, the couple slept in each other's arms, as usual.

It was an abnormally hot night for early May.

Usagi was sleeping in the nightgown Mamoru got her last Christmas.

Mamoru was topless, but he wore boxers.

Usagi happily murmured his name, dreaming about how cute he was.

"Mamo-chan...I want to kiss you forever..."

Mamoru let out a long breath.

He wasn't restless, just lost in thought.

He kissed his angel's temple.

She sighed happily in response, but didn't wake.

Usa-ko...what are we going to do about the enemy?

Hearing a soft moan, Mamoru turned to his side to see Usagi gradually waking up.

Smiling lovingly at him, Usagi softly kissed his face as Mamoru hugged her in reply.

"Everything okay?" "Yeah, I'm just feeling a little uncomfortable...I think I'll sleep better if I turn to my side more..."

With that, she readjusted her position, getting comfortable.

The soulmates cuddled, peaceful silence filling the room.

Usagi let out a sigh, unable to keep her concerns inside any longer.

"We didn't fight like this until this month! Why now?"

He stopped and thought a moment.

"Maybe it's your pregnancy?"

With narrowed eyes, Usagi held a fist to his face.

"If you're suggesting I'm acting like a bitch..."

He sweat-dropped and shrunk back out of fear.

"Oi! Usa-ko, I didn't say that..."

The blonde shook her head, staring at the design on their silk bed sheets.

"I don't know, maybe it IS my pregnancy? But it almost feels like..."

Mamoru finished the sentence for her.

"...Something is tearing us apart...again."

"Do you think it's the enemy?"

"I don't know, but...I'll take care of you...my Usa-ko. We'll face all of this together."

"Yeah. And I'll take care of you, my Mamo-chan..."

Usagi rubbed her cheek against his chest.

"I'm so happy to be with you, Mamo-chan."

Mamoru spoke through his kissing her.

"Even if we had an argument?"

She smirked and rolled her eyes.

"You REALLY must be used to being alone to say that!"

They laughed out of the simple joy of being together.

That's when the peaceful moment was interrupted.

Halite and Kyrite had once again appeared.

Mamoru narrowed his eyes dangerously.

"What are you two doing here?"

Halite blasted them with power.

The couple screamed.

Mamoru tightened his grip on Usagi.

"Usa-ko...", he strained. "Get...out of here..."

"Mamo-chan, I..."

Kyrite blasted a different kind of power at the woman.

She was suddenly in Kyrite's hold. "LET ME GO...!"

Mamoru wanted to attack Kyrite...

However, he realized he could injure Usagi in the process, a risk that he didn't want to take.

"Usa-ko! You son-of-a-bitch, LET HER GO!"

Halite nodded at his brother.

"Good. But first..."

He blasted Mamoru with a final attack.

Mamoru yelled out of pain.

There was only one thing on his mind. "Usa-ko!"

"Mamo-chan!"

They were able to touch finger tips.

Usagi tried to fight back the tears, but to no avail...

Her tears dripped down her cheeks.

They spilled onto his warm hand...

"Mamo-chan, I can't leave you now! Mamo-chan!"

Mamoru desperately tried to pull her back into his arms.

The place where she would always be safe...

"Usa-ko! God, please don't leave me! Usa-ko!"

Her scared eyes pierced through his heart like a knife.

She started to slowly fade away...

"MAMO-CHAN!"

"USA-KO!"

The two evil men vanished with Usagi.

Bruised and in shock, Mamoru lost it.

Eyes widening at the realization Usagi was no longer with him, he screamed.

A few hours had passed after Usagi's kidnapping.

It was 5:00 in the morning, yet what did it matter?

Mamoru was wide awake.

The only person he had ever loved was taken away from him.

He was on standing on the balcony, lost in thought.

Usa-ko...my love...my life...Why did I fail you?

The man turned at the sound of the glass door sliding open.

It was Rei.

She and all the others had arrived as soon as he called.

"Mamoru-san...how are you holding out?"

His eyes were unreadable.

"How do you think?"

Rei let out a long breath.

She took notice of the cigarette in his hand.

Everyone knew Mamoru wasn't the type to disregard his health.

She cocked her head to the side, worried.

"Mamoru-san...you don't smoke."

"I do now...", he muttered.

The priestess put a clenched hand over her chest.

"I know you're worried about Usagi, but we'll find her..."

His ocean-blue eyes narrowed darkly.

"Bullshit! Even if I find her...we'll just be torn apart once more! So why should I even bother when I keep on failing her? I'm not even strong enough to protect her!"

Rei's eyes quivered for a moment. "Mamoru-san..."

She looked at the ground.

"...you must remain clam."

He practically screamed at her. "Why the hell should I?"

Mamoru realized this was Hino Rei he was talking to.

His first friend before Usagi...

Before he met the one that ridded the darkness in his life.

He shook his head again. "I'm...sorry..."

"Just remember this, Mamoru-san: we will get her back. And you are strong, much stronger than you give yourself credit for. You were always able to come to Usagi's aid in the past, so why would things be any different now?"

As Rei went back inside, the cigarette slipped from Mamoru's fingers.

Lost in deep thought by his friend's words, he didn't even notice.

Haruka leaned against the wall.

"Did you find anything yet, Ami-chan?"

She bit her lip and nodded.

"I've found something, all right."

Makoto's face was filled with concern.

"It's got to be bad if you're this upset!"

The blue-haired woman turned from her data-computer, eyes anxious.

"You're never going to guess where the base is."

Everyone felt the same fear claw at their hearts.

Ami furrowed her eyebrows, wondering what would be the best way to enter so they could have the upper-hand.

"Point D, otherwise known as the Dark Kingdom's old location."

Mamoru felt his eyes go wide from the memories.

The pain she was put in because of him...

"No! Any place but there!"

The four inner system sailor soldiers nodded in agreement.

Seiya, Yaten, and Taiki blinked.

"What's the Dark Kingdom?"

Haruka, her arms crossed, frowned, responding: "Two words: Queen Beryl."

Artemis shook his head.

"Everyone, I know that place is filled with bad memories..."

Luna finished: "...But you have to save Usagi-chan!"

Shoving her compact computer into her pocket, Ami stood, nodding.

"We must leave now! There's no time to waste if we want to save Usagi-chan!""

Mamoru was the first to run out the door, calling behind him, "Hurry up!"

Seiya smiled uneasily as she and the others followed suite.

"Determined little bastard, isn't he?"

Halite threw Usagi against the prison wall.

She crossed her arms over her chest, shivering from the cold.

The two strip-searched the girl, apparently in vain.

Kyrite stamped his foot angrily.

"She doesn't have the Silver Crystal on her! All that planning for nothing!"

Halite thoughtfully placed his hand on his chin.

"Her allies are coming. We could use them to our advantage...Such as finally getting that Crystal! "

Tears formed in Usagi's eyes at the thought of anything happening to her loved ones.

"Please...! I beg of you...leave Mamo-chan and the others out of this..."

Kyrite bashed her head in with his hand.

She screamed before blackness took over. "MAMO-CHAN! "

The man carelessly dropped her nude body to the ground.

Blood dripped out of Usagi's blonde hair.

Halite smiled cruelly as he closed the cell door.

"We'll leave them out of it all right, little Moon Princess."

The Sailor team and Sailor Starlights were inside the Enemy base.

Mercury pressed some buttons on her computer, the visor in front of her eyes lighting up with various symbols and words.

"Now where is the main room?"

The area looked similar to the old Dark Kingdom base: a currently empty, yet still dark and cold uninviting cave.

The warriors reached a branch that had three hallways leading to different places.

After a few more minutes of analyzing, Ami sighed tiredly as she turned to the others.

"Our best bet is to split up, everyone."

Sailor Venus nodded.

"Mars, Pluto, Star Healer, and I will go one way."

Star Maker said: "I'll go with Mercury, Saturn, and Jupiter."

Sailor Neptune smiled a little, finishing, "I guess that leaves me, Uranus, Star Fighter, and..."

Sailor Jupiter blinked and looked around.

"...Mamoru-san? Hey! Where are you?"

He was long gone...

Uranus grew visibly upset at that.

"I bet he went to find Usagi on his own! What's he thinking? Doesn't he realize it's best if we stick together?"

Star Fighter gave a peace sign, having the feeling that Mamoru would be alright.

"Don't worry, He'll find her without fail. Now, let's go after our Enemy!"

Tuxedo Mask raced down the seemingly endless row of dungeons.

Oh, God! Where is she?

"Usa-ko!", he called. "Where are you, Usa-ko?"

Feeling different, Mamoru blinked, looking down at his outfit.

He had turned into Prince Endymion.

Knowing this meant he was desperately needed, the man ran as fast as lightning.

"USA-KO!"

Usagi awoke with a start.

Where was she?

She looked around the room, remembering everything that happened.

Her fight with Mamoru...

Their making up...

The Enemy kidnapping her...

...Mamoru...

"Mamo-chan...", she quietly sobbed.

The couple's orgel—their music box—was lying next to her.

'Moonlight Densetsu' began playing.

Yet Usagi wasn't in a cheerful mood.

The blonde touched her touched her chest.

Warm blood pressed against her now-pale skin.

Her eyes quivered as she looked at the blood that smeared her fingers...

Realizing that her stomach wasn't injured, Usagi relaxed somewhat, realizing the Silver Crystal was probably protecting her precious Chibi-Usa...

Looking up at the iron cell bars, her lips trembled as she weakly spoke.

"Mamo-chan...Where are you?"

Sky-blue eyes quivered, threatening to spill tears.

She put her arms around herself, slowly rocking back and forth.

"Why can't I be strong enough to protect my loved ones? At a time when they need me the most, I...! I failed them!"

Tears flowing from her eyes, Usagi pounded a fist against the floor in anger.

"Why, God? Why?"

She sobbed loudly as her voice broke.

"Mamo-chan! Please...Endymion...don't let me die...I...I'm sorry I'm not strong enough..."

Usagi cried herself to sleep, lulled by her orgel's gentle melody.

Mamoru knew in his heart he was getting closer.

He could feel it.

"Usa-ko...", he whispered.

Some warm tears blurred his vision.

He angrily wiped them away.

"Don't worry. I'm coming...wait for me...Usa-ko..."

That's when he saw her in the distance.

Mamoru kicked down the rusty cell bars and they fell immediately.

'Nice security job', the man thought as he ran to her side.

"Usa-ko! Usa-ko, wake up! Usa-ko!"

The blonde's eyelids slowly opened.

She gasped out of shock, realizing she was wrapped in his strong arms.

"Mamo-chan? No, Endymion...?"

Noticing something in his hand, the blonde smiled slightly.

The man gently hand Usagi her brooch, saying, "Usa-ko, about earlier..."

They stared at each other momentarily, finally having reached an understanding. "I do care."

Smiling, she nodded in reply. "I know, Mamo-chan. And I care about you, too." Taking her brooch from his warm hand, her hand rests atop his for a moment before she transformed.

"Thank you."

Eternal Sailormoon took Prince Endymion's hand, softly saying, "We didn't fail anybody, right? It's just we thought we did..."

"Yeah. If we want to protect this world and our loved ones, we have to believe in each other...And ourselves."

"Space Sword...Blaster!"

The attack bounced off the villains as Uranus screamed, her own attack making her to crash into the icy ground.

"Uranus! Are you okay?"

Sailor Neptune ran towards her lover.

Star Healer yelled, "Sailor Neptune, watch out!"

Too late.

Michiru turned in time to see an attack head for her...

As Neptune let out a yell of pain, Mars cursed.

"How can we fight these two? They have the upper-hand!"

"Jupiter Oak Evolution!"

It did nothing.

Jupiter, with narrowed eyes, looked at Mars.

"Damn it...! Mars, try your ofuda!"

The dark-haired woman nodded.

"Aku Ryo Tai San!"

The attack did nothing.

Kyrite smirked and sent a ball of fire towards her.

She jumped out of the way, but...

...Rei didn't notice the attack reforming from behind.

Blood dripped from her as she fell onto the ground.

The only ones left standing were Mercury, Venus, Star Fighter, and Saturn.

Sailor Saturn nodded to the three.

They nodded back, knowing what she would do.

"Silence Wall!"

The power managed to shield them from the assaults.

Sailor Venus bit her lip.

"What the hell are we going to do!"

Mercury tried to contact the couple through her communicator

"Usagi-chan! Mamoru-san! Can either of you hear me?"

She sadly wiped her tears away.

"It's no use! Without Sailor Moon's help-"

"HOLD IT RIGHT THERE!"

Six people turned to see. "Serra Muun!"

Eternal Sailor Moon was standing in the distance.

An Artic wind blew her long, blonde, pigtails.

"Tsukini kawatte oshiokiyo!"

"Silver Moon Crystal Power Kiss!"

The attack only worked on Kyrite, who screamed as the healing powers took over.

When the healing was done, he yelled "Beautiful" before disappearing.

Halite widened his eyes, then turned back to the blonde.

"Brother! You little...Where did he go!"

Sailor Moon smiled kindly.

"Kyrite had a good soul deep down. He was forgiven, as you can be."

Halite narrowed his burning evil eyes at the blonde.

Serenity may have taken away my brother, but the true loss will be hers!

Throwing a massive ball of energy at her Usagi screamed as she felt her power drain away...

"Nani? That can't be...!"

Her heart's beating slowing, she fainted in Endymion's arms.

"Star Serious Laser!"

Halite fell onto the ground, surprised a normally "weak" attack could stop him.

"What...", the man breathed.

He weakly looked up to see Sailor Star Fighter.

"How dare you...", she whispered.

Her blue eyes burned with an almost insane anger.

"How dare you try to kill Usagi-chan!"

She grabbed Halite's throat and started to choke him.

Halite turned purple in the face.

He wanted to beg the woman to stop...

The conscious girls felt their eyes go wide with fear.

This was Seiya?

Mercury was crying.

"Don't kill him! Let Usagi-chan heal him!"

Coming to her senses, Seiya instantly let go, only for Halite to blast her away.

The brunt of the blast causing them pain, Venus screamed: "Hotaru-chan!"

"Silence Glaive Surprise!"

Halite screamed as the attack surged through his body.

Dazed, after falling onto the ground, Halite disappeared

Seiya shakily got up, holding her forehead in pain. "Ugh...that was one nasty battle..."

Venus ran to her side and helped Seiya stand.

"At least we're all okay..."

"Usa-ko!"

His yelling made everybody snap their heads to attention.

Mercury looked frightened. "Mamoru-san...is Usagi-chan..."

Endymion shook his head.

"Usa-ko! Please! Wake up!"

The blonde's sky-blue eyes slowly parted.

She smiled weakly. "Mamo-chan?"

"Usa-ko...you're okay..."

Mamoru kissed her mouth as Usagi lovingly held him.

Exhausted from the battle, she fell asleep in his warm arms.

Mars shakily got up and looked around.

"What happened with Halite and Kyrite?"

As Saturn healed them, she explained.

Mercury asked, "Setsuna...did you know all of this would happen?"

The Sailor Soldier of Time shook her head.

"Truth be told, I didn't."

Neptune blinked. "Are these new enemies altering the future?"

Saturn answered for her surrogate Aunt.

"They could be trying to, but as long as we're here, it seems like we can prevent any tradiges from occuring."

After those words were said, Artemis' voice rang through Venus' communicator.

"Are all of you okay? Did you find Usagi?"

Venus replied: "The enemy is defeated, and we're coming back right away."

Luna asked, "How is Usagi-chan?"

Jupiter answered with a smile as she looked at her sleeping friend.

"She's great."

Everyone transported back to Usagi and Mamoru's.

As they did, Usagi prayed to herself in her dreams.

God...please let there be peace in this beautiful World of ours...

-End Chapter 5-

AN: I guess I did this subconsciously, but in this chapter, I put in a slight parallel between Usagi and Mamoru that echoes Asuka and Shinji. (The girl accusing her love interest of being self-centered.) Anyway, how did you all like this chapter? I apologize for taking so long to get this revision done, but life (also known as college) has been busy for me. Please give me feedback on what you of this chapter and this series! Till next time!
