This a Batman Beyond/ Yugioh crossover. Just drama and butt kicking. Set in the high-tech future setting of Batman Beyond in Domino city. No yaoi or anything like that, and this is an alternate universe, where Kaiba is an old fart. XD

Character backgrounds:

Atemu-

16-year-old boy, Joined the Red Eyez gang after the Red Eyez rival gang, Shadow Dragons, shot and killed Atemu’s father. During his membership of the Red Eyez gang, Atemu killed members of rival gangs out of anger and remorse for his father’s death. After operation Yellow Haze failed, Atemu quit the gang and went to Kaiba Industries, where CEO Seto Kaiba hired him as his bodyguard/assistant. Atemu later accidentally discovers the bat cave and the high-tech neo bat suit. In order to redeem himself, and to finally avenge his father, Atemu “borrows” the suit and goes off to take down the leader of the Shadow Dragons, who killed Atemu’s father. Atemu ends up killing the leader, and realizes that just killing people didn’t make him feel any better. Seto Kaiba discovers the suit’s disappearance, and tells Atemu he can be the new Batman if and only if Atemu swears to fight for justice and righteousness. Atemu agrees, hoping to redeem himself for his past sins.

Yugi-

Atemu’s twin younger brother. Yugi and Atemu’s relationship as brothers runs deep and both share a mutual feeling, as to how Yugi tries to calm Atemu down, and understands how hard it was when the two found out their father died. Yugi disapproves of Atemu’s activity in a gang, but still can’t help but understand that Atemu has no other means of expelling his rage and sorrow. In turn of Yugi’s kindness, Atemu is always protective of his younger brother. After their father’s death, Yugi sees Atemu as more of a father role model than as a brother, but the bond between these brothers is still strong. Is unaware that Atemu became Batman.

Seto Kaiba-

70 year old CEO of Kaiba Industries, formerly known as Kaiba Corp. The early concept of a super hero to protect the citizens of domino was “Kaibaman.” For a while, Seto Kaiba actually was Kaibaman, with all the gadgets and vehicles and such. But Kaiba realized that wearing a white uniform in the night was inefficient and was very obvious. So Kaiba decided on the theme of a dark bat. Hence, Batman. Kaiba then created a high tech bat suit, interlaced with nano technology that would increase strength, stamina, and speed of the wearer. But after the company’s products extended to raw production materials and automobiles, Seto Kaiba had no choice but to retire and rename the company. By this time, crime in Domino was rampant, and Kaiba wasn’t exactly aging gracefully. Kaiba had to rely on his robots to keep the city safe, but the robots kept getting destroyed. After Atemu became Batman, Kaiba attempts to teach Atemu everything he knows about crime fighting in hopes to restore Domino to the prosperous city it once was.

Joeker-

17-year-old teenager, former leader of the Red Eyez gang before it disbanded. Current leader of the Joker gang, now the strongest gang in Domino. Appearance was horrendously malformed because of the noxious fumes from operation Yellow Haze. Seeks revenge upon Atemu for ditching the gang.

Prologue:

Atemu returns from school, and is shocked when he sees a group of police officers standing around the front of his house. When Atemu asks what’s going on, a policeman says that Yugi was kidnapped, and that there was a note for someone named Atemu. Atemu takes the note, and written on the note is an invitation to “the greatest plot ever thought up of!” Atemu crunches the note in his hand, and rushes off, dawning the bat suit, and goes to an old abandoned warehouse by the docks of Domino pier. There, as Batman, Atemu walks in, demanding where Yugi is.

Atemu walked into the pitch-black warehouse, his footsteps echoed off the hard concrete floor. Atemu turned on the night vision feature of the suit, and started to look around.

“Yugi? Where are you?” he asked, his voice echoed off the walls, each echo made Atemu seem more and more helpless.

A menacing laugh came from everywhere, the origin of the laugh was unclear, as to how the sound reverberated off the walls and made it impossible to pinpoint the origin.

“Who are you? Show yourself!” Atemu demanded, his voice stern and furious.

All of a sudden, a figure came down from above and knocked Atemu unconscious.
