The Doctor and Sarah - Destination Gallifrey

The TARDIS in flight

Sarah was wandering the TARDIS, each corridor looking much like the others she had passed through. The Doctor was going to leave her at the place which wasn't South Croyden, but then he had come back. Then she had bolted back through the police box doors before he could leave again. After she had put her bags back in her room, she had gone to wander through the TARDIS, wondering, what the Doctor was up to...

Why would the Doctor have had left her because he was going to his home planet, what were his people like, also what was he really like?

Why had he left his home planet to begin with, why was he going there now?

She was feeling rather conflicted. She decided to go the bathroom, and float there, in the pool sized bath, and think things through.

After floating and thinking/meditating she then continued to wander through the TARDIS, sometimes talking to the ship, sometimes talking to herself, but most of the time thinking and looking at what the TARDIS had to offer, with all of her time with the Doctor, both the previous and current versions, they had always landed in trouble, and she hadn't had time to look at the Ship. She eventually came back to the Edwardian style console room they have been using for about the past year.

The Doctor was thinking, he had sent the TARDIS towards Gallifrey, with Sarah on board...

He wasn't sure what he was thinking, the Time Lords wouldn't like a human appearing on Gallifrey...

Sarah re-entered the console room which they had been using for the past year. She had forgiven him for almost putting her off, at a place which had turned out to be not South Croyden.

"So, we are heading towards your home planet" she said.

"Yes, Gallifrey, located in the Constellation of Kasterborous" the Doctor said.

"So, why were you not going to take me there?" Sarah asked.

"The Time Lords view all others as inferior, I wasn't going to let you experience that sort of condescending attitude" the Doctor said.

"I could handle it" Sarah said.

"I am sure you could, but when we arrive I would like you to remain in the TARDIS until I come back from investigating what is going on" the Doctor said.

"I suppose that's reasonable..." Sarah said.

"Good" the Doctor said. Sarah went to sit down at a chair near the door.

"So, Doctor, why did you leave Gallifrey to begin with?" Sarah asked.

"It has to do with a whole complex of reasons, many different reasons, but one of them was to get out into the universe to do some good, another was to get away from the boredom, the Time Lords do nothing but observe the universe, unaware of their power" the Doctor said.

"Intriguing" Sarah said. The Doctor was definitely being very mysterious...

Then the TARDIS signalled that it was approaching Gallifrey.

"Sarah, go somewhere else in the TARDIS, but not to the other console rooms. The bathroom, or the library, or the workshop would be good places. The Time Lords may want to do a search, if you go to the Library, there is a secondary console that should indicate when someone enters the TARDIS" The Doctor said.

Then the old time ship came to a stop.

They had arrived on Gallifrey.

"Would you like a jelly baby?"
