Job

Sangi

Don't own.

ATTENTION:

If you want to read an actually good, wonderful, SangoxMiroku story, check out my profile to read my newest story, There Were Days.

See,

These are drabbles. I really don't think that most of them are very good, but I keep them because a lot of people love them.

But if you do love SangoxMiroku, I'm sure you could read through all of these, or just pick some out as random. I suggest the ones towards the end of the list, because they are naturally better.

Thanks anyways,

SANGI

“Are you ready?” He asked, making sure to be quiet, so as they wouldn’t hear him. The only problem was that they knew the way in through the front door, but not through the back, or through the window. He decided going through the front door invited was much easier.

“I guess.” She replied, not sure that she was mentally ready for this job as much as she was physically ready. This had stressed her mind all week long, and finally, here it was – happening. She did not know what to do. It was a hard decision for her to do this, but it had been her decision, and she had decided it, and so it went on.

Moving towards the window, Sango took out her cutting device and quietly sliced it off. Taking out the window and gently placing it down on the ground, she placed her and his materials on the windowsill inside. Moving slowly and making no noise, they entered the silent house. There was no noise, not at all, and the sounds were all gone, in somewhere else by now.

Upstairs, ears twitched. She carefully took her gun out and put it out in front of her, and Miroku followed her movements. Grasping it with both hands, she went up the stairs and stopped right in front of the bedroom door. The door was wood, and if you knocked on it, it would sound hollow, but they made no noises.

Miroku took out his phone, called for backup. They would need a lot to control the man waiting inside.

Sango barged in, opening the door. “Put your hands up! Police!”

Kagome and Inuyasha quickly sat up in their bed, and panicked. What was happening? They hadn’t done anything! At least, they had thought they hadn't done anything. But what they had done was a different matter than what they would have ever expected.

Sango gently placed handcuffs on Kagome and Inuyasha, reciting their Miranda rights from memory. Miroku watched, and backed away slowly. The backup was here. Their job was done.

Both Sango and Miroku watched as they put Inuyasha into a car, and while Kagome struggled. Before they were able to get in the car, she managed to get out a strangled, “Was this my birthday present, Sango? Was it?”

As the car drove away, tears fell down Sango’s face. Miroku wrapped his arms around her in silent comfort. His arms were warm against her body, and the air was freezing as her breath came out in puffs of smoky air.

“Why?” She asked, sobbing out her words. “Why?”

“Because, Sango, you know the answer to that.”

“But we knew them! They were our friends!” She struggled in his arms, and he silently soothed her nerves. His hands traces patterns on her back.“Why, Miroku, why?” She broke down, sobs wracking her body.

He just held on to her tighter. “Because, Sango, it’s our job.”

The thing was, Sango loved her job. She always had, she always will.
