I was in a sort of poetic mood when I wrote this. It's totally not in my usual style. Tell me what you think!

Black and White

Told from Sasuke's POV

You asked me what my favorite color was, and I answered.

"Black."

"To match your hair?" you asked.

"To match my heart."

You told me yours.

"Mine's white." To match your heart. "Because it hasn't been touched or stained; it's pure and clean!" That's just like you.

You asked me why I touched your cheek.

"You have hair in your face," I told you. I was lying. I shifted slightly toward you. For a moment, you didn't say a word. Not because you had nothing to say, but merely because you couldn't. I leaned away, and you spoke.

You asked me why I kissed you.

What could I have said?

"Your heart is white."

What kind of an answer was that?

What surprises me is the fact that you seemed to understand.
