Rhythmic Curses-Part 2
Hello everyone! After a threatening review, I was compelled to write and post this really quickly. Okay, maybe not so quickly, but I put it up! So please romulus901, TAKE IT BACK!
Thank you both, STKitty65 cat and romulus901, for reviewing! You don't know how happy that makes me! With all of the bad reviews I'm getting for my Harry Potter fan fics, your reviews help me not give up writing Harry Potter fan fics!
I'm not that good at rhyming, I just thought you should know that ahead of time! Don't say I didn't warn you!
Okay. Here it is. The moment that I have been planning for awhile now. What the present said.
A large cone shaped object floated up above the package, from within. It had yellow and red stripes, and looked like a giant candy corn. The orange fog started to float up to it, and surrounded it. Not that anybody knew, but that fog was what carried the curse, and what protected the Candy Corn from spells when it was predicting.
Everyone looked at the piece of candy floating above everyone's heads, so everyone in the hall could see. If only Dumbledore wasn't so fascinated by Lemon Drops.
The Candy Corn shaped some of the stripes as a black mouth, and opened it, about to do a speech like the sorting hat. Except this speech would ruin lives. Too bad Dumbledore took that moment to leave the Hall on 'business matters'.
"In your mists, secrets are well hidden.
Some are serious, others kiddin'.
But there is one deeper than you know,
that will shock you down to your toe.
A tight group of 4 friends,
who vowed to keep it till the bitter end.
By tomorrow night, everyone will find out,
the secret that someone close will shout.
4 friends falling apart.
One who will quite literally lose his heart.
Driven by depressedness of an open secret,
He will kill his own self to keep it.
Secrets can not be kept,
These four friends are swept.
Other secrets will be reveal,
but only one has the power to kill.
Only a howl can tell it now,
Who it is, where it is, and how."
The Candy Corn finished on a dead tone that it had used all during it's speech. It slowly sunk back into the box, while the whole hall was deadly silent. One kid tried to blast it, but the orange fog glowed, surrounding the candy corn, absorbing the blast without the candy corn getting hurt. The orange fog than drifted all around, clinging to the table and people, who had no choice but to inhale it.
All of the sudden, the hall erupted with everyone talking at once. People were looking around for the group of four friends. Everywhere they looked, they saw 3 or 5 friends, but never 4. Then, some people at the Gryffindor table started looking at the Marauders, at the same time people started looking at a group of 4 people at the Ravenclaw table.
Sirius looked around at a white James. "What was that all about!"
James shook his head, unable to talk. Sirius looked around to Remus, whose eyes were wide with fear. Only Peter seemed to be responding, because he whimpered, and leaned down in his chair. Suddenly, Remus got up, and shakily left the Hall, followed closely by James, with Peter trailing. With one last look at the watchers that said 'Stop staring at us! Or I WILL kill you', he followed.
Sirius ran into the gang standing inside of an empty classroom. Remus was sitting on the floor with his back leaning against the wall, his eyes staring ahead. James was running his hand through his jet black hair, looking down at the floor. Peter was shifting from foot to foot, his eyes constantly darting to Remus.
"Come on, guys! What was that all about!" Sirius asked, annoyed at being left out of the loop.
"Think about it, Padfoot. '4 friends''one deadly secret' 'Only a howl'!" Sirius' mind snapped then, as he finally put two and two together, and figured it out.
"That would never happen. Nobody knows but us."
Peter looked up suddenly, then quoted part of the speech. "By tomorrow night, everyone will find out, the secret that someone close will shout."
"Well I don't know about you guys, but I'm certainly not going to blab on my best friend Remus. I'm pretty sure you guys won't either."
Peter put a thoughtful finger to his lip. "What do you suppose it meant by the 'kill' part?"
James shot Peter a death look, then looked down at Remus, who was shaking with small tremors.
Okay, please don't say I'm a horrible writer this time! It's not long, but at least it's something. Oh...I hope you get the speech, and you will soon find out what I meant about the 'kill' if you haven't already guessed.
