Chapter 1 Questionable Existence
Remy often wandered the streets at night trying to find some woman to be with for a few days then let go. He lived off things that would be considered irrational for a vampire, but he managed nonetheless. He decided that he'd disobey the people who had created him and live his own life. Therefore now, he lived in solitude out on the streets and in his one room apartment on the other side of New Orleans. He decided to take matters into his own hands when he was created because even though he was a thief and a cheat, he would never be a murderer.
The other backfire was his eyes. Aside from being a vampire, he was also a mutant with extraordinary powers that were amplified due to his transformation. This seemed illogical at first, but he came to terms with it later. His eyes were deep velvety red, on a dark hue of black. They glowed towards his emotions, and when he used his powers. Though, they were bright red when he was in his true form...which he only used to scare people away.
The Thieves Guild and Jean-Luc LeBeau...his adoptive parent, and his creator. He'd been brought up by him, taught by him to be a thief and to be the king of his new reign. Though, it didn't seem logical for him to lead on in his father's footsteps. Remy was young, not even with a name as he wandered the backstreets of New Orleans. He couldn't even find any place decent to get food, whatever he had...he stole. Alone in the night rain...he stole from a rather unruly man which in turn, offered him a place in his family.
By the time he was twelve he'd learned every single technique and then some. It was told that he had learned so much, that in fact, he had surpassed his father. The king, the master...it was also the year when he found out about the uniting of two unique guilds...thieves and assassins. It was then, he was told he had to marry. A decision that he would later find most appalling.
His eighteenth birthday was the grand finale. It was midnight, dark, and raining. Thieves and Assassins had gathered by the stone tablets in the left wing of the manor. A place where he was forbidden to see until he was of age. This sorrowful place told of a young mutant with Red and Black eyes that would lead a united faction of Vampires to great lengths, at his transformation he is to marry a bride and take the life of an innocent. Though, every year after his bite would cause him more pain. He would be cursed to fight two sides of himself. Cursed to live as a vampire and a human, until he drank human blood for the first time.
Within reason he sits as a passage for both good and evil. Every day is a challenge, a fight for life. He's forced to feed of remains of animals instead of human flesh. Since his father passed on his powers, his eternal life is slowly ebbing away. Darkness beckons him...a darkness that will consume him if he's not careful. He refuses to be a murderer...but each day the curse inscribed on his soul remains.

So for the past three years, he's lived in light, and in darkness.
