Dark.

Alone.

Afraid.

Sorrow.

Loss.

Pain.

All those things.

Yet none.

Light.

Yet dark.

So dark,

like eternity,

nothing for miles

yet so much.

Red.

Blood.

Death.

Pain.

Sadness.

Regret.

Do I regret?

Do I regret being?

Being here

when others are not.

Being alive

when others are dead.

Clear

yet clouded.

My life,

my existence.

Am I but a thought?

An image created,

from another image?

Am I but a reflection

of a different being,

a different life?

What is life?

The state of being

of thinking

and feeling?

Do I feel?

Do I think for myself?

Are my opinions my own?

Is my life my own?
