Chapter 1
Waking Up
It’s September 6, 2005. This date is an important date to remember. It was the first day of school.
It was five o’ clock in the morning. In fact, it was a quiet morning.
A young male bear was snoring away in his soft bed, with a dark blue blanket on top.
He was dreaming his sweet innocent dreams, but they were cut short by the sound of his mother’s soft voice.
“Banjo,” said the voice again. “It’s time to wake up.”
Banjo’s aquatic blue eyes quickly opened. He bolted straight up and jumped out of bed and ran to get groomed.
When Banjo was done grooming, he went into the kitchen for breakfast. He found his mother and his little sister, Tooty.
Tooty was six years old starting first grade. She was wearing a white blouse, a navy blue jumper, and a pair of black sandals. She wore her long blonde hair in two pigtails.
She was sitting at the table eating her favorite cereal- Frootloops.
Her aquatic blue eyes looked up at Banjo, who was wearing a simple pair of jeans and a white T shirt.
“Hello, big brother.” She said in a sweet voice.
“Hey, sis.” he greeted back.
“Banjo, dear,” began his mother. “would you like some breakfast?”
“Yes, please.” he answered.
Banjo’s mother got up from her seat and went over to the stove. She began to make his plate, which consisted of scrambled eggs, two slices of bacon, and two pieces of toast.
She places the plate in front of Banjo, along with a glass of orange juice.
The mother sat back down and began to drink her hot coffee, while she read the front page of the Isle O’ Hags Times.
“What grade are you in?” asked Tooty.
“I’m a senior in high school.” he answered, as he buttered his toast.
“An honors senior.” added his mother in a proud voice.
“Wow.” Tooty said in amazement. “Is that past second grade?”
“Yep.” Banjo answered proudly. “I’m pretty smart.” he placed his fork in the center of his plate and quickly finished his orange juice.
It was now six forty- five and Banjo needed to be at school by eight. He got up from his chair and kissed his mom and sister on the cheek.
“Bye.” he said, as he picked up his blue backpack and left out the door.
That’s the first chapter. Original characters, plus my own, are coming in the next chapters. Read and find out how school turns from a regular school day, into. . .I don’t want to give it away.
I have a lot to do, so there’ll be less updates. So right now, I’m going to take the rest of my time fussing over my hair for senior class pictures.
Please read and review.
