Disclaimer:I do not own Xiaolin Showdown. However, I do own Jerika.
A girl balanced quietly on the roof of a temple building. Short black hair, pulled back into two pigtails, rustled in the wind. A red crossover top and white pants hung off her slim figure. The male Xiaolin Dragons might have mistaken her for Kimiko, but she wasn't Kimiko and proud of it. She wasn't a new dragon either. She was a cousin of a dragon, come to reveal herself after hiding away in the shadows. She felt a little bit bad for not revealing herself sooner but no matter. Smiling, she lowered herself down onto the ground, preparing to wake her cousin up.
Wait.
Was that movement?
The girl spun around, to come face to face with Chase Young. "Hello my lady" he said with an evil smile. "Care to come with me?" The girl hissed. "You will never take me" she growled, leaping away from him. Chase was getting annoyed by her impertinence. "Fine. "Fine, but let me write them a letter to say I've been" she said, taking out pen and paper. He nodded and she wrote:
Dear Cousin,
I hope you do not mind the lateness of this message but it is important I get it to you. Chase Young has been found in your temple and I am not sure of his wishes. He is taking me captive. Please, do not worry. I have a feeling I will become bait. Do not follow Chase. Just know that I am with him, and that as soon as I break out of his lair that I will come back to the temple. Forgive me.
Jerika.
"Are you done?" he snapped. Jerika nodded and placed the note outside the vault-she knew they would go in there the next morning. "Then let's go" he said, grabbing her, knocking her out and shoving her roughly in a cart, making his way to his lair. Her last memory was that of a strange shape forming in the sky, just before the blackness enveloped her…
Well, it wasn’t so bad now was it? I know it was short but don’t worry, the real long story parts begin next chapter.
