It’s been—what? Four months? More?

I’m really sorry for abandoning this fic. I had the entire thing planned from start to finish, but in the end, it just didn’t work. I tried hard, so very hard, to write Chapter 7, but the words slipped away. This fic was begun with a random bout of inspiration, and I successfully wrote 60,000 words in less than one month.

For me, that was an amazing accomplishment—but the moment I realized this, my inspiration flew away. I simply could not get back in the flow of the story, and that frustrated me. I love this fic, I really do, but I think I dragged it on and on and on. So many people liked this piece, and I am forever thankful to those faithful reviewers that persisted and sent me e-mail, asking for me to either continue it or at least put it up for adoption.

For those who want to know who has control of this fic, it has been given to Kasumi McDohlwith the same account name. She’s yet to begin it, and for all I know, she too has abandoned it. But there you go, that’s where you’ll most probably find the fic’s continuation. I’m really sorry to all those hopefuls out there—it amazed me that you guys actually enjoyed the fic so much! I am so happy to have received over 180 wonderful comments—it sure boosts my confidence!

Right now, I’m writing a much shorter fic called ‘Return’, also HPSS. Another fic, still in the process of developing ideas, titled ‘Standing Up’, is also in the making. I will make sure to have a lot of chapters finished before I post, so I’ll have some time to churn out new ideas if I run out for a while. Please look forward to them!

Once more, I apologize for the death of this fic. It was a wonderful ride, and I enjoyed doing it. Maybe, someday, I’ll pick it up again. I’ll most probably do a complete re-write, knowing me.

For now, I’ll leave this fic up for those future readers that might also enjoy viewing it.
