Y'know, this is such an uncommon pairing, I couldn't find any stories on it. But for some strange reason I like it. So, here we are.

Rebecca nearly whooped when the clock struck three. Free! Free! Class was over! She was inexpressibly happy, as I'm sure we all are when our classes draw to a close before winter vacation.

She was one of the first few out the door, and as she raced through the crowded halls she saw someone familiar. She did a double-take, then elbowed her way through hoards of college students to get to her friend.

"ANZU!"

"Hey, there you are! I was looking for you! Here, follow me." She took Rebecca's hand and led her down the hallway. After taking a few shortcuts, they reached the parking lot. A red car was pulled up near them. Sitting in the driver's seat was a young blonde woman in a light purple coat.

Anzu noticed where Rebecca was looking. "That's Mai. She's the one I told you about who came to pick us up. Hey Mai! Over here!" She waved.

The woman in the car waved back and drove closer, and the two younger girls hopped in. As they drove off, Rebecca asked if they were picking up anyone else.

"Just Shizuka. Her house is around here and we decided to surprise Jounouchi."

As if on cue, a teenage girl with long brown hair waved to them from the sidewalk. She got into the car, shivering from the cold December air. "It's freezing out there! When I get hold of my brother, we're making pie!"

"Pie...?"

"Yes, pie. There is nothing like a hot fresh pie on a day like this."

"Uhhh... Yuugi and I already made some cookies... but it may be a good idea to have a lot of food."

"Well, how many people are going to be there?"

"Everyone!" Anzu began counting off names.

Shizuka watched Rebecca. Should I be worried? she thought, She looks so happy... but if she's in for what I think she is... Shizuka mentally shook herself, trying to clear her head of what could happen to that smile on her friend's face.

Okay, I wanted the first chapter to be longer, but that made such a good cliffie I just couldn't help myself. I'll post the next chapter once I get a review.
