Chapter 11, Together Forever

Rogue looked in the mirror at herself. She'd never imagined that it'd be like this, but Remy insisted in giving her everything she ever wanted on her wedding day. The dress was white, and exactly what she had picked out and said was too much money. Her eyes lit up when Logan came barging in her room with a present from Remy. Tears filled her eyes when she realized it was the dress she wanted to be seen in. Smiling she put it on and looked at it.

Now she stands looking as beautiful as she did in heaven. She wished, in some way, that she had her wings to go with the ensemble. It would be so perfect...but then again, she wouldn't be with Remy if that happened. Sighing she turned to Ororo, who was hemming the bottom of her dress. "Ah nevah thought thaht this day would evah come, sugah."

"Child." Storm replied. "Everything happens for a reason. You who believe in angels, and have faith in the heavens...should know this. He loves you, child. He believes in you, and you look beautiful. Remy knows, he always will know."

"Ah know." Marie replied looking at the mirror once more. "Remy is everythin', an' always will beh."

"You ready yet, Rogue?" Jean asked from the door way. "Remy and the other's are waiting for you."

Rogue nodded as Storm set her veil. "You'll do fine, child."

"Ah know."

The ceremony was beautiful, they were finally together and Marie smiled as she looked up at the stars that night from their balcony. It was a thousand of wonders how they found each other again, and it was wonderful that they could finally spend the last of their days together and go to heaven once again. Though, Marie might come back to earth several times with him so that they could be with each other, and she could learn a lot more about mortal culture.

"Wut y' t'inkin' 'bout amour?" Remy asked from behind as he wrapped his arms around her.

"Everythin' thaht's happened t'day sugah." She smiled. "Tha weddin', the reception, and how our honeymoon is goin' ta go."

"Oh..." He growled in her ear softly and kissed the side of her neck. "Y' know how de honey moon goin' t' be."

"Remy Lebeau!"

"Marie LeBeau!"

They shared a soft and soothing kiss under the stars, finally together, absent to the world.
