Catherine confronts Sara about her relationship with Grissom.
"How long what?" Sara asked absently, seemingly fascinated by the blood spatter.
"How long have you been in love with Grissom?"
Sara swivelled around, a look of shock on her face. "How long have I? How… What?" she spluttered.
Catherine laughed. "Don't worry. I won't tell anybody. Come on, Sara."
"What do you mean? What makes you think I like him?"
Catherine rolled her eyes. "Love, Sara. I know you love him. Anyone would be stupid not to figure that out with the way you look at him."
Sara sighed. "Am I that obvious?"
"'Fraid so, Sara." Catherine grinned. "So you admit it?"
Sara glared at her. "Fine. Have it your way. But there's no way he'd ever like me… like that."
Catherine raised her eyebrows. "Oh really?"
Sara nodded and turned back to the blood spatter, wiping it up with a cotton bud, closing the topic.
Catherine sighed and left the room in search for Nick.
"How long what, Nick?" Grissom asked in an irritated tone.
"How long have you been in love with Sara?"
Grissom turned to stare at him. "You're insane, Nick. I do not like Sara."
"I know." Nick nodded. "You love her. What are we, in high-school?"
Grissom glared at him. "You like your job, Stokes?"
"Relax, man." Nick threw up his hands.
There was an awkward silence. "You know, she loves you too, Grissom."
Grissom glared at him again. "No she doesn't, Nick. How could she?" there was a slightly sad tone to his voice.
"Aha!" Nick cried triumphantly. "So you do like her!"
"Yes. Happy now? Go away."
"What do you mean, no?"
"Well, I would assume that I meant that I won't go away."
"God, Nick! Are you trying to piss me off?"
"Do us both a favour and tell her. Trust me. She at least deserves that."
"Sara?" Grissom whispered, not wanting to disturb the peace of the room.
"What?" she asked, flushing when she remembered her earlier admission.
"We need to talk."
Great. Catherine had told him and now he was going to tell her that he didn't feel that way and that it was unprofessional and that she had to get over it.
"Sara," he swallowed. "This is hard to say…"
He dithered for a few moments more. Eventually, he opened his mouth again. "I need you to tell me how you feel about this."
"How I feel about wh-?"
But she couldn't finish her question. Grissom' lips were on hers, and her brain went numb. Her body did the thinking for her, and she kissed him back. A few minutes later they pulled away.
Sara looked at him incredulously. "What?"
"How did you feel about that?"
"Did someone give you stupid pills, Grissom? I liked that."
"Yep, someone definitely gave you stupid pills this morning."
