Ok once again, YES I made Janeway EVIL, but not necessarily when compared to Canon because guess what? THIS IS A FANFICTION!! I can do what I want including turning Voyager itself into a giant beet and having it get eaten by a duck. Not that it will happen but I’m just saying. This story is A/U (for those of you who don’t know, this means Alternate Universe) and heavily so.

In any case I don’t plan on having this story become too graphic as I have absolutely NO wish to write any scenes dealing with sex… abuse I can do same with fight scenes, but I’m horrible at sex scenes. So unless I deem it necessary to try to illustrate a scene, you will have to use your imagination.

Now onto the REAL information you want to know. I DO plan to have B’Elanna save the day, the how and when are not quite there yet, but that will be taken care of as I go. Also this story WILL get worse before it gets better, poor Seven will be having some very NOT happy thoughts for a while and will deal with more abuse. (Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Seven of Nine, in fact she’s my favorite character, but in all reality they could SO have done better with her in the show. She has WAY more potential than what we got to see, so this is my version of something that may happen.)

Last but not least… I DO NOT CONDONE RAPE AND OR TORTURE OF ANY TYPE!! You wanna be kinky with your partner that’s your business, but make sure it’s consensual ok?

Now that we have that out of the way…

.:DARK HEARTS:.

B’Elanna was exhausted, she had gone on a simple three day mission to collect Dilithium for Voyager, and had ended up stuck on a nearby planet for over a week. Lucky for her that Voyager had noticed so quickly, otherwise it would have been more like two weeks.

‘I never thought I’d say this, but thank Kahless for Borg enhanced sensors.’

Pausing in her walk home, B’Elanna briefly pictured the blonde Astrometrics officer as she had last seen her. ‘I wonder how she’s doing… probably as stuck up as ever.’

“Hey, B’Elanna!” She spun around at the call, only to see Harry and Tom walking towards her.

“Hey guys, what’s up?” Tom just grinned foolishly while Harry shrugged.

“Nothing much. Are you glad to finally be back?” Harry asked, a small smile spreading across his face in response to the wide grin the engineer was sporting.

“What do you think, Starfleet?”

“I think you’re glad to be back in your engine room after leaving Seven in charge for a full week.” Tom said, his grin widening as he saw her come to the realization. B’Elanna never DID like Seven in engineering, even when she was ordered to be there.

With a groan and a sigh B’Elanna settled in for the worst. “What did she do?”

“Nothing.”

She looked visibly confused. “Nothing?”

“Nothing.” Harry confirmed, his grin slipping a little as a look of concern made it’s way to his face. “Which is odd, because normally she would have at LEAST put forth a few modification proposals to the Captain while you were gone. But she didn’t do anything.”

B’Elanna frowned, her mind flashing back to the day right before she left. ‘Did something happen?’

“Well, that’s not quite true.” Harry and B’Elanna looked at the helmsman. “She got me and the Doc to help her replicate a bunch of engineering stuff for some project she was working on in the Cargo-bay, and she took time off twice to work on it. Whatever it is, she doesn’t want the Captain to know, she swore me and the Doc to secrecy.”

“I’ll have to go find out what she’s up to.” A yawn interrupted further conversation. “After I sleep. I’ll see you guys later, ok?” Waving goodbye the trio split up and headed their separate ways. A certain ex-drone lingering in the thoughts of the half-Klingon.

‘What is she up to this time?’

.:Dark Hearts:.

Seven was in fact not doing anything at the moment but trying to heal. She lay curled up under her new blanket clutching a small pillow in her arms and stared blankly at the wall across from her.

It had been several days since her first sexual encounter with the Captain, and they had continued to happen every night afterwards in nearly the same manner. The shame and disgust she felt at herself were near enough to drive her mad, as if she hadn’t been shamed enough for being Borg. In fact she wished now that she was still Borg, at least then she wouldn’t have been able to realize how hopeless her situation really was.

After that first night, Seven had felt a blackness like no other take hold of her soul, and had spent nearly two hours trying to scrub the taint from her skin. She had scrubbed so hard that her skin quickly became raw and bled all over. An hour later and her nano-probes had still not healed all the damage, but she had felt better, if only not as dirty.

It was then, as she came out from the ensuite to find the Doctor and Tom Paris already at their morning posts that she had formed a plan. It had taken her all of five seconds to decide on a course of action before she had asked the Doctor to help her replicate some materials for a ‘private project’.

Taking the next two days off with permission from Chakotay, she had proceeded to build her ‘safe haven’. It wasn’t much, in fact it reminded her greatly of the regular cells in the brig due to its size and simplicity, but it was hers and hers alone.

Seven had used a corner of the cargo-bay to block off the needed space for her new room, and had carefully hidden its construction behind large stacks of crates so that no one would know it was there unless they were looking for it.

She hadn’t been able to replicate too much besides the raw building materials for fear that Janeway would catch on to what she was doing, as she still monitored the ex-drones replicator usage. Even with its simplicity Seven was proud of what she had accomplished.

A bench situated along the hull with shelves built into the underside was used as a bed, the blanket and pillow she had now giving her some comfort on the hard surface. A small table with a stool and a lamp she had managed to build with extra parts sat across from the ‘bed’ and gave her a place to work and store pads. On the same wall as the table a small mirror, large enough to see her entire head, was situated above a small shelf used to hold a few personal items like her hairbrush. The doorway was covered by another blanket, this one a thick gray wool that would help preserve her privacy at least a little.

All in all it felt a bit like a child’s fort, but for now it would do. In time she would make it more comfortable and eventually be able to call it home. Home was safety, and at this point it was something she craved. It was here that she came to hide from the Captain, and it was here she came to cry each night after she had been released.

Not that hiding ever did her much good it seemed, she was still transported nightly to receive her ‘punishment’ as Janeway liked to call it, still drugged and forced to betray herself. She was steadily losing her will to fight back. In some ways it seemed almost like what the Borg had done to her for 18 years of her life, and that realization made her wish all the more that there was someway to escape. She did not want to be used for the rest of her life.

A sudden chirp interrupted her brooding, for that is what she had been doing, and brought her back to reality. “Naomi to Seven.”

Quickly checking to make sure she was presentable in case she was needed elsewhere, she was careful to sound like she usually did for her young friend. “Seven Here.”

“Seven, where are you? The computer say’s you’re in the cargo bay, but I can’t find you.” The girl’s voice was curious and Seven quickly made her way out of hiding to see her.

“I am here Naomi Wildman. What can I do for you?” The small girl nearly jumped at the sudden appearance of her best friend and hero, wondering briefly where it was she had been hiding.

“There you are! I came to give you something, also I wanted to see if you would like to come play Flotter with me later.” Quickly handing the blonde a slightly misshapen package tied with a purple velvet bow she nearly felt like jumping for joy. “Here.”

“What is this for?” Seven’s customary eyebrow shot up in surprise at the gift, a look of curiosity hiding in her eyes.

“It’s a birthday present!”

“It is not my ‘birthday’.” Seven was confused and it showed.

“I know that, but this is a late present, for all the birthdays that you had to miss. It took me a while to save enough replicator rations for it. I hope you like it.” The five year old half Ktarian looked positively pleased with herself. “Go on, open it.”

Her own curiosity getting the better of her, and wanting to make her friend happy, Seven did just that. Untying the pretty ribbon carefully, and unfolding the cloth bundle a little faster revealed a plush red bear with hearts embroidered on its stomach.

Stroking the soft fur tenderly, the ex-drone looked at the young girl with a genuine smile on her face. “It is soft. Thank you.”

“You’re welcome. Mom helped me pick this one out, she said that people on earth used to call them ‘Care Bears’ because each one shows you how much it cares by being your friend no matter what. I picked this one because I remembered that red is your favorite color.” Naomi just continued to smile up at her friend, knowing without words that she greatly enjoyed her gift.

“I have to go now, Mom wants me to eat dinner before I can go play. I’ll see you later Seven, just come to holo-deck 2 if you want to play with me ok?”

“We shall see, but I will be there for our ritual game of Kadis-kot tomorrow. Enjoy your evening.” And with that the little girl scampered off for home, leaving a much happier ex-drone hugging her newest friend.

.:Dark Hearts:.

Quick note: Ktarians age 1.5 times faster than humans, so a 5 year old Naomi is really more like 7.5 or 8 years old. I had her born just a few months earlier than she was in the canon, and also she picks Seven to be her friend from VERY early on after she is severed from the collective.

Basically this is MY story and in it I am GOD. So I can do what I want, which includes

rearranging the episodes to suit my needs. MWAHAHAHA!

Also an attempt to give you an idea what Seven’s new Sanctuary looks like…

total length 10-12 ft total width 7-9 ft

the 'bed' is about a foot taller than Seven leaving about 3-4 ft of space before the door way

All in all the Federations Cells are about 9ft by 6ft so Sevens room is a bit biggerTheres really not much in there yet but some necessities, considering she had to do it so that the captain didn't find out, I'd say it's pretty good. Soon enough she will be adding more things as needed... don't worry this won't end badly, though it may seem to get worse before it gets better for good.
