No Yaoi(sadly) But you may interpret it as you wish, Yes that word is spelt wrong.

Ren sighed, letting his eyes slide shut as he eased himself into the deep hot tub. The Inn was alot quieter that night, all occupants minus Ren, had gone out to see another of Yoh's favourite movies. Obviously involving Pilong(sp). Feeling tired and worn out from the day of training, Ren evened out his breathing and just listened. The warm steam rising around his face and the top of his arms accompanied with the hot bubbly water felt great, relaxing every muscle in his body. All he could hear was the bubbles and slighty swooshing water around him. Peace. A feeling Ren hadn't felt for the duration of his life. He thought back to when he'd first met Yoh, his strong feelings of hatred towards the other Shaman and how they were soon turned. Amazingly and wonderfully, he'd been lifted, his heart had been warmed by the Asakura boy. Although, not only was it that particular Asakura that made him curious. His mind, no matter how hard he tried, always seem to twist and twine its way back to thinking of the other one. Hao Asakura. The greatest evil to ever live, born and destined to plauge the human race, determined to knock it off the face of the earth. Ren had been offered to join him once. And for a short time, he'd thought about it. He'd once followed the same path, thinking and beleiving that humans were dirty, vile creature who were going to be the death of them selves.

He'd once thought that the world would be a much better place without them. That everything would be cleaner, fresher and more beautiful without the existance of he'd turned down that offer. He'd been taught to beleive that since he was 3 years old, by his father. En Tao, another he always seemed to comtemplate about. His very own father had bethrothed him to the path of evil. Deciding his destiny and chosing which way he was to go. Teaching him nothing but what he was 'supposed' to know. It was all he'd ever been aware of, until he came up against his toughest apponant, and now loyal friend. Yoh had changed him, made him see the light, helped him defeat his father. Although, he'd never admit to actually needing the other boy, he knew it inside, if Yoh hadn't been there, he himself wouldnt be here. And here was such a wonderful place to be. He had made friends, friends that were just like him, that understood him, perhaps not all the time, but they backed him up, stood behind him when he made a decision, and were there to catch him when he fell. He'd never trade that in for anything.

He opened his eyes again, looking up at the stars, there weren't nearly as many stars in Tokyo as there were in China. He'd once told that to rememberd that day like it was yesterday, he'd ingraved it in the back of his mind. He remembered how he and Horo were lying on the roof, for once they werent arguing, they were talking, civily, nicley...and like friends. Of course, they'd always been friends, Ren had already prooved that, he'd saved Horo by giving up his own life before, then Horo had helped bring that life back to him. They'd silently and secretly seeled their friendship that day, a relationship that had yet to be demolished. Of course, Horo had only helped. Faust, the older and slightly more disturbing of his knew friends, a good doctor non the less. He and his 'guardian ghost' Eliza, made the perfect pair, both equally creepy. Although that was what Ren though, he and everyone one else knew that the two obviously and wonderfully shared a special bond. A bond that Ren could the time Faust was acompanied by Chocolove, who miraculously and discracefully found some sort of pun to everything that was said. He claimed to want to spread the power of laughter across the world. He'd never made Ren laugh, dispite his numerous attempts, but the chinese aslways held back a slight smile, anyone who was willing to keep trying for that long, deserved to be acknowledged slightly,

Ryu. Ruy was...exentric. About his hair. A distiction that set him away from everyone else. His 70's styled clothes and overly gelled hair had always given Ren a bit of a laugh. His feelings for Ryu had some what grown, not as much as the other, he'd admit, but clearly enough to bump the older Shaman into his Friends list. Not that he really had one. Although somewhere on there would have been Lyserg. The british boy that was bent on revenge. He'd descovered that Hao was actually still alive, and had wanted to get pay back for his parents death, as Hao was responsible for them. After touring for awhile with Yoh,Horo,Ryu and Ren, Lyserg had found a new place, with the X-Laws. That however didn't last long. As things went terribly wrong for them and Lyserg found himself alone with the X-Laws spirits to help him defeat Hao. That was when he'd gone back to them. He'd helped Horo to help Ren when he was in need, then when Ren was back in buisness, he'd had his life saved in little Manta had helped him in a way, he was living proof that humans weren't all that worthless.

Ren groaned a little, a small bustle of the wind dragging him from his thoughts. Ren had a lot to thank his friends for. Yoh for shining on him and helping defeat his father, along with Horo and Ryu. Horo and Lyserg for helping save his life, again along with Faust and Ryu. Chocolove for not giving up on his ambitious wish to make Ren laugh, and even Hao. Hao, although evil, had made Ren realize somthing. That he'd chosen to be with Yoh and the gang out of love and admaration, not just because he felt it was his duty as repayment. He'd been tempted into having a better life, far away from Yoh and all Humans but he'd turned it down, with his own free will. That was somthing he'd been proud about. Tao Ren had changed, for the better, and he'd not regretted a single moment of it. He'd learnt alot from his friends, how to feel more emotions that he'd locked away, how to accept loosing, how to have fun and even how to inprove his skills. He'd forever be thankful, for everything they'd ever done for him, even if they didnt know it, Ren needed them, every single one of them. Bad points included.
