‘Thinking’

- Hikari to yami and the other way around –

Long ago, when the pyramids were still young

Egyptian kings played games of great and terrible power

Games of faith, games of judgement, games of magic

But these, Shadow games twisted the souls of those with weak wills and black hearts

So the power was sealed away

Imprisoned within the mysterious Millennium Items

Until thousands of years later were a boy named Yugi unlocks the secrets of the

Millennium Puzzle

Now the games have returned and with them a new challenger… Yeah yeah, we heard that before, but what happened after all that crap?

Yugi Motu lived in a normal city and was enjoying a normal summer vacation before going back to a normal High School year.

Yugi lived for the first time in a very long time a normal life, the only thing about his life that wasn’t normal was the ancient Millennium Puzzle with the ancient Pharaoh around his neck.

Other people would properly just wonder what clothes they should wear but, Yugi was preoccupied with a certain puzzle hanging from a certain chain and wondering what kind of dangers it would bring him that day.

Well, he actually never thought of it like that.

Yugi scanned the cloths laid out on his bed, trying to decide what he would wear that day.

It was hot, as usual, so he did not want to wear all black and leather like he normally tended to do.

He did not want to wear his white and navy-blue shirt either, though, as his best friend, Joey, usually wore a similar one in the summer. Finally he decided to take his orange t-shirt and jeans on.

The puzzle started glowing and Yami appeared, thanks to Ishizu and Shadi he could appear in solid form and go back to the puzzle every time he wanted, the first day had been funny course Yami had forgotten he couldn’t go through walls in his new form so he had walked right into a wall which caused Yugi and his grandpa almost to die from laugher.

“Morning aibou” mumbled Yami while stretching, Yugi chuckled at him “did you sleep well Yami?”

Yami shook his head “why not?” Yugi asked “I don’t really know… I just had a strange feeling about today” told Yami.

Yugi frowned slightly “It isn’t the ‘evil psychotic weird hairdo freak wanna take over the world’ feeling is it?” Yami blinked at him surprised by his words “Uhm… No” said he.

“Great! Then it is properly nothing!” cheered Yugi and dragged Yami downstairs, Yami hated the stairs, he had a bad experience with them after he got his fast form, uhm, he won’t even think about it.

Down in the shop stood Yugis grandpa sweeping the floor “Oh, Yugi, this came for you” said Grandpa giving Yugi an envelope with a small smirk on his face, Yugi looked at him doubtful before taking the letter.

- Is something wrong aibou? It is just mail – said Yami through there mind-link – Yeah, you’re right – said Yugi checking the address.

Yugis frowned again when he saw the address “Hey Yami, check out the address”

“O-kaaay?” said Yami a bit freaked out “Hey look at that” said Yami pointing on something behind the letter, Yugi looked at found a wax seal with a large “H” on it and 4 different animals – Maybe Bakura or Joey and Tristan playing a prank on us – said Yugi “Maybe Kaiba wants to duel again” pointed Yami out ignoring what Yugi said.

“Yami, first of all, it is an “H” and why would Kaiba even want to put animals around a letter?” asked Yugi “Good point…” admitted Yami feeling stupid at the moment “He properly would have send a e-mail too if I know him right” Yugi rolled his eyes before opening the envelope, two tickets were in it, he putted them aside and started reading the note out loud.

“Well… The Tomb Robber out done himself this time” said Yami who was a bit impressed “Yeah you’re properly right, I don’t think Joey or Tristan could have done this” replied Yugi numbly.

“Yami…?” “Yes, aibou?” “I can’t figure out if this is real or just one of Bakuras stupid pranks, what should we do?” asked Yugi “Hmm… We were supposed to meet the others at ten so, I guess the Tomb Robber will be there, then we can ask him about this” answered Yami “about meeting the others… It is 9:45” Yugi looked at startled at the clock.

It took at last 20 minutes til the park “crap!” cursed he running like there was fire in his butt, Yami shook his head before running after his hikari.

Twenty minutes later Yugi arrived at the park, only to find that Bakura may be near getting beaten up by a very dangerous looking Kaiba.

“That you even have the shit to piss me off again after what you did to Mokuba!” hissed Kaiba holding something in his hand that looked a lot like the letter Yugi also got “I swear I didn’t do anything this time!” said Bakura trying to convince Kaiba who looked like he would kill him any moment.

“Sure you haven’t done anything! You always does!” interrupted Yami never backing down for getting on Bakura nerves “Oh shut up Pharaoh!” and that was the start of both Kaiba and Yami shouting things at Bakura who did the same at them while trying to convince them he hadn’t done anything this time.

Yugi sat down by Ryou was sitting on a bench “Hey, did you also got strange mail?” asked Yugi and Ryou nodded showing him his letter

“Do you think Bakura send them?” asked Yugi again “He can’t… Bakura don’t know how to send mail” told Ryou not missing the “I heard that” from his darker half “Wow… Then that would mean… There real” gasped Yugi looking shocked at the innocent piece of mail but then stopped “wait? Does there stand ‘Kitchen’ on yours?” asked Yugi confused “Uhm yeah… I was standing in the kitchen when I got it through my window” told Ryou slightly blushing.

“Wonder why Kaiba got one, he doesn’t even believe in magic” wondered Ryou “Well… He was a priest in his past life… That could explain” said Yugi looking at Kaiba “Uhuh, I think your yami is in trouble” said he while sweatdropping, Ryou looked up, Kaiba had gripped Bakura around the collar of his shirt holding him up to eye level.

“My yami always have trouble…” sighed Ryou making Yugi giggle.

Kaiba dropped Bakura making him land with a hard THUMB “what are you talking about?” asked Kaiba angry “Kaiba apart from Ryou we all thought it was Bakura” began Yugi “well, actually, I also thought it was him before I remembered he didn’t knew how to send mail” admitted Ryou looking at his feet “Geez, thanks a lot hikari!” said Bakura sarcastically.

“Kaiba, did you get a envelope too?” asked Yugi, Kaiba gave a snort before showing Yugi the piece of paper

“Well, Bakura didn’t send these so I think they may be real, maybe you should give them a try?” said Yugi trying to sound calm, Kaiba already had a horrifying glare on his face.

Seto let out a rude snort. “Like I’m gonna make a world trip just because some stupid prank letter! I have a company to lead as you know” grunted Kaiba walking back to his limo that waited outside the park. –Hikari? Can I kill him? - Asked Bakura – Sorry Bakura, you can’t – replied Ryou making his yami pout.

Ryou ended up going home with Yugi, Bakura and Yami had attempted to stay inside the there Items for good reason, Yugi had told Ryou that his Grandpa had a strange face this morning when he gave him the envelope so maybe the old man could help.

When they arrived greeted the old man them warmly “Hi Yugi, oh, hello Ryou long time no seen” Ryou looked at his feet, after Bakura putted Yugis Grandpa in coma for 2 days in Battle City he had difficult looking at the old man.

Grandpa only chuckled “What can I help you with?” asked he although Yugi thought that it sounded like his grandfather already knew.

“That is about that letter I got this morning, we thought you could tell us about it” told Yugi showing his letter, the same did Ryou.

“Well, if I have to be honest, I never thought Dumbledore would send you these, but I’m happy he did!” said the old man with a huge smile that just fitted a real old grandpa. “Sit down boys, this gonna be a long story”

“When I was around 11 years,” he began, “I received a strange letter by owl. An older friend of mine already went there and he was surprised that I got in. I got sent off to England –”

Ryou looked at him surprised but decided not to say anything, he didn’t want to interrupt.

“-I went to school at Hogwarts, Albus Dumbledore were only a teacher back there, I was to preoccupied with games and such back there so I got expanded in my fifth year, and I eventually met up again with Dumbledore many years later in Egypt. I was still very much into games and such and he told me about the greatest game ever, the Shadow Game, He told me where to find it so I found some men I thought I could trust and we took to the Valley of Kings”

“Valley of Kings? Wasn’t that where you found the Millennium Puzzle?” asked Yugi remembering the story from before he took to Egypt.

Grandpa nodded once again. “And I was the only one who did survive,” he said. “And as I told you I took the box that contained the pieces of the puzzle, when I came back out I actually yelled at Dumbledore for telling me about something like that. Today I’m embarrassed that I did. He told me not to worry, he would send an owl when the time was in and the Millennium puzzle would be needed and of course some other items” told Grandpa giving the boys a blink.

The two boys exchanged looks before they suddenly found their feet interesting, Ryou was also blushing. Yugi’s grandfather chuckled before continuing his story.

“After I came back, I was a bit unsure about the puzzle so I hidden it away. But then some grandchild of mine found it, Hehe, he was small enough to come into the place I had hidden it” teased the old man making Yugi pout and blush.

“Anyway, Dumbledore must have know course he send me an owl telling me not to worry, he would send an invitation to Hogwarts if there would be needed the Millennium artefacts powers”

“But, the Millennium powers are in the past, there nothing back for them to do” protested Bakura showing up behind his Hikari scaring the shit out of him too. “The Pharaoh has regained his memories, Marik is lost in the Shadow Realm, which is good, and the God Cards aren’t almighty longer. What could possibly be wrong that they – that all of us as well as Kaiba– have to go to this place?”

Grandpa shook his head. “I don’t know” he answered. “Dumbledore has tendency to hold things for himself.” He raised an eyebrow. “But, do you want to go to Hogwarts?”

Ryou and Yugi nodded. “Heck yeah!” Bakura exclaimed. “Oh, by the way, you might want to let Dumbledore know that Kaiba is a bit unwilling, he don’t want to ‘make a world trip’ “ Bakura puffed out his chest as he repeated Seto’s words from before, Yami appeared and couldn’t stop laughing just like Yugi, Ryou only giggled.

Grandpa shook his head, he was feeling bad for Hogwarts, to have these little trouble makers, and with that he meant Bakura and Yami, coming to the school.
