Story: The Last Time
Summary: InuKag It was the last time he'd see her-and she was glad.
Authoressa: Really saddening... Don't even think about smiling during this story.
The Last Time
InuYasha sniffed. Finally, the girl he had been waiting for arrived. The half-demon stood, his silvery hair blowing behind him. He stared through blurry eyes as the girl walked forward.
"InuYasha. Why are you here?" She asked, her voice cold and raspy. He cringed. Long ago, her voice had held comfort and happiness.
"I came to see you, Kagome." The girl smiled softly, her chocolate brown eyes sparkling.
"InuYasha, there is no need for you to see me. I am doing-better than before." She replied.
"Kagome, don't say that. You know we had something together, you know-"
"You know that you still love Kikyo, underneath all we had." She said monotonously.
"Is that why you left? Because you thought I loved Kikyo?" InuYasha asked, his silver inuhanyou ears twitching.
"No, because I could not stand to see you-" She said softly.
"You didn't finish." InuYasha hissed.
"No, I did. I cannot stand to see you, InuYasha. I hate looking at you." She said roughly, her eyes burning softly.
"Well, I've been waiting for you."
"You did not have to wait for me, InuYasha. I have moved on, and I see you have not." She said softly.
"You sound so much like Kikyo-so much like what I hate...it's not even right that I love you." InuYasha said coldly.
"Then go right ahead." She said harshly. "I already hate you, InuYasha. Why do you hold on to what we had? It is lost, now. Just let go."
"I can't! I loved you, with all my heart! How can I let that go..." InuYasha spoke, his voice quivering. Kagome glared at him.
"I have. You must, too. Let it go InuYasha." Kagome turned around.
"I'll never let it go. And I know you won't either." She whipped around, face to face with him.
"Don't you dare tell me what I'll do! Don't you dare! You don't know!" She exclaimed. She turned and walked away. InuYasha dropped to his knees.
A tear dropped. On the ground, a few feet away from him...
The Last Time
Authoressa: It was Kagome crying, not InuYasha.
