Rumor: Vash the Stampede is a murderer.

Truth: I do no such thing.

It saddens me to see that I have such a poor reputation among the populace, but I guess I can’t help it since I am what I am – not human. I’m sure that’s the original reason why the insurance girls were sent after me, but I hope that they’ve realized my true nature by now.

At least, I hope that’s my nature. It’s kind of hard to tell when you can’t figure out exactly why you were created.

But I’ve come to a conclusion – I’ll never kill.
