Lucius's wife, Narcissa, had an hour prior been throwing fits over a personality test in Witch Weekly. It apparently stated that she was a simple-minded witch whose most important purposes were superficial things. He had to agree with the magazine. It had hit her personality perfectly, though he, of course, never let her know that fact. Narcissa was too advanced at transfiguration to lether know what he really thought. He had been sore weeks after the last incident. An incident he rather hopednever toexperience again, Lucius thought bitterly and shook involuntarily at the memory. Anyway, Narcissa had left in rage and gone to see the Minister's wife. Lucius suspected that she had needed a distraction, and who else could provide it than the Mrs. Minister, who knew all kinds of gossip about all kinds of important people.

All kinds of information that could be used with utmost descreetness under the right circumstances.

When he, Lucius,was finally alone he had been drawn to the magazine, and, in the minutes before he had to leave, he had taken the test.

He now stared at the magazine with something akin to true amusement. If they only knew, he mused as he made to leave for the next Revel. If they only knew…
