Kirby the New Adventures

Episode 3: Waterworks and Havoc

Off in the Dark Kingdom, the elemental gods were having a meeting. Valon stood up and stated, "Okay, Vargas may have failed, but that's only because he's our weakest member. That is why I am sending out a different god, or preferably, goddess this time." Ishizu stood up and offered, "Pick me, Valon. We all know I'm the best!" Valon shook his head and explained, "Look, you're a powerful asset, there's no doubt about that, but I'm afraid that it's too early for you." Rocna raised her hand in triumph and exclaimed, "I knew it! I knew you'd pick me!" Valon shook his head and retorted, "I'm not picking you, either. I choose Selphie of the water. Make me proud." Selphie froze. "Um… you're picking me?" Valon nodded. Selphie smiled and stated, "I will make you proud, sir." As Selphie changed into human form and descended to Earth, Vargas asked, "Is it wise to send her?" Ishizu nodded and added, "We all know she has been planning to turn on us for quite some time." Valon smiled and remarked, "Relax, girls… and guy. She has a V-chip inserted into the back of her neck. If she even tries to help the humans, the V-chip will shock her. Plus, she knows it's there, so we know she'll never try anything."

Meanwhile, down on Earth, Joseph, Kaguya, Kirby, Jecht and Jill were heading home from school as they noticed a poster. "Hey, look!" commented Jill. Jecht grinned and stated, "There's a water show starting at 6:00 today. That means we'll only have 3 hours until we leave the house again." Jill asked, "Why would we want to go?" Joseph started to drool as he belted, "We HAVE to see this show! Look at the woman doing all the stunts! She's a freaking BABE!" Joseph continued to let his drool run down the glass as Kaguya explained, "Don't worry. He's always like this when he sees a pretty lady." Jill started to fume at the sound of this as she angrily asked, "Why didn't you do that with me? Am I not the prefect example to outer beauty?" Joseph turned to her and remarked, "No, you're very beautiful, but you have a boyfriend. I only go head over heels for SINGLE women. I'm not a SUPER perv!" Jill had to agree that this guy was more honorable than your average pervert was. Kirby also jumped for joy at the thought of seeing a show, because to him, a show meant hotdogs, so naturally, he jumped for joy and shouted, "POYO! POYO! HOTDOGS!" (You gotta' admit, THAT is cute!) Jill laughed and remarked, "Kirby, it's a water show. There are no hotdogs, but I would like to see this show. It looks interesting." Suddenly, Eccentro and Sandy along with Sparky appeared behind them. "Hey, are you guys going to the water show as well?" asked Eccentro. The kids nodded. Sandy asked, "Are you going to introduce me?" Eccentro blushed and said, "This is my girlfriend, Sandy. Anyway, we are also going to see the show. Sandy, these are the kids I told you about!" Sandy bowed in respect and acknowledgement as the two headed off to prepare. Jecht smiled and stated, "This show must be great! Not only is it a once-in-a-lifetime chance, but it's free." Jill agreed. As they left to go home, Metaknight saw the poster and gasped when he saw that the performer's name was Selphie. 'I'd better attend this event if I want to be sure of what I'm messing with.'

It was only 2 hours before the performance was to begin. Selphie sat on a pole complete in monster form (Basically, she's just a person with a blue gown) and stared out into the city. She sat there and thought, 'What am I doing? These people live such a peaceful life. I don't want to hurt these people, but if I don't try to destroy them, the V-chip in my neck will shock me. Since my body is 100 water, one jolt of electricity could kill me. I guess it doesn't matter. It's a simple assignment. All I have to do is flood the area and drown Kirby along with many other citizens.' She returned to her human form, jumped off of the pole and stated, "I have no time to mope around! I have a show to perform!"

After one hour and fifty-eight minutes, it was almost time for the show to begin. Jill picked seats close to the front and everyone was happy. Suddenly, water started to jet out of the pool as Selphie emerged from under the water riding on top of the middle jet. Joseph started to drool as he commented, "She's hotter in person!" Metaknight glared at her the whole time, making sure she wasn't the monster he thought she was… and looking at her body as a bonus. Kirby was really enjoying himself because, as it just so happens, there was a hotdog guy handing out free hotdogs. Along with that, there was a burger guy, an ice cream guy and a Wiener Schnitzel guy. (Wow, who would have guessed? Seriously, they were handing out Wiener Schnitzel!)

After many amazing tricks, Selphie smiled and stated, "I hope you all enjoyed the show, because this will be the last show you ever see!" Suddenly, she held up her two palms as water started gathering into her hands. Soon, a big bubble made out of all the water was in her hands as she transformed into her monster form. To make things worse, she changed her body into a liquid, therefor giving her the ability to add more water to the bubble. Metaknight gasped as he exclaimed, "SHE'S GOING TO FLOOD THE WHOLE AREA! EVERYONE, EVACUATE!" The people started screaming as they all got up and headed for the door. Selphie hung her head low and exclaimed, "You can't escape! I made sure the doors were locked from the inside and the outside!" Everyone started to panic, but that soon ended. Why did it end? Because the bubble blew open as the whole area filled up with water. The water almost reached up to the roof.

Luckily, everyone had managed to swim to the top. Sadly, their fresh air didn't last long as the water level increased and soon covered their heads. Hence, all the people struggled to hold their breath. Apparently, in her water-like state, Selphie couldn't be seen by the naked eye. "Take this, Kirby! You're going to die right here!" To her horror, Kirby was unfazed. In fact, he just floated there with his mouth and eyes open… and it didn't bother him.

Selphie realized now that Kirby could breathe better than most, but she also knew that if she had let it slide, the V-chip would kill her. Seeing as she was in water and in a water-like state, she couldn't risk it. "All right, Kirby! Prepare to be owned!" she exclaimed as she started lunging at Kirby and dealing various blows to him. Kirby looked around to see that his friends had now just about suffocated and weren't breathing. Kirby was now serious. He put on a mad expression and glared at Selphie. She let out a sad attempt at an evil-sounding laugh and asked, "Aw, is the little creampuff mad?"

Kirby opened his mouth and started to consume the air around him. Along with that, water entered his mouth. Sadly for Selphie, she just happened to be standing in front of him. As she struggled to get away from his suction powers, a small chip forced itself out of the back of her neck and landed straight in Kirby's wide-open maw.

Kirby did a series of backflips and stopped in the air. After that, a spark lit on his head as she ran around the area in a panic attack. Soon, a headband emerged around his head so he could contain the spark. Thus concluded the transformation.

Selphie noticed this and thought, 'That must be his copy ability, but why did he become spark? He didn't swallow anything electric.' Kirby focused all of his energy and unleashed it in the form of a spark. It filled up the pool, but Kirby didn't want to hurt his friends, so he directed every jolt at Selphie. Realizing that this could kill her, Selphie returned to her flesh state and halted the flood. Everything returned to normal as the room dried up. As everyone came to, Selphie folded her arms, let out a wicked smile and asked, "How are you going to beat me now that I'm not made of water?" Suddenly, a vortex appeared behind her as she breathed a sigh of relief and thought, 'Thank god. Now I don't have to fight them.'

She returned to the dark kingdom where she belonged. As everyone came to, they stared at Kirby. Joseph asked, "What is that?" Jecht answered, "That's Spark Kirby, but I don't understand how that's possible. He didn't inhale anything electric." Jill shrugged and stated, "Let's break down the door and go home. Today has been a long day."

Sandy dried herself off as Eccentro pleaded, "I'm so sorry! I know this date was awful!" Sandy hushed him and remarked, "It's not your fault she was a monster. You couldn't have done a thing."

Anyway, the kids returned home, Selphie received the usual "You did a good job, don't be hard on yourself" routine Valon always used, and everyone lived happily ever… wait, this isn't a fairytale.
