"This was not destiny," she tells him, pulling back from his embrace to look up at him, "This," she pauses as she leans in to kiss him fast and hard, "is something more. We fought for this, bled for this," she softly strokes the scar that graces the outside corner of his left eye, "and because we did, the both of us can appreciate what we have much more then if our relationship had happened by fate."

His fingers tangle within her pink hair. "Fine. But can I at least tell our children we fell in love at first glance?"
