Pairings: Ryuichi/Tatsuha. Yes, that does mean that Ryuichi will represent the "dominate" side of the relationship. I'm getting goose bumps already. Ryuichi is sex-ay. ;p

Warnings: As stated above, this fic does include yaoi, and if you do not like the idea of two totally hot guys being in love, then this is not the fic for you. Turn back now before your homophobic ways are converted. Also may contain swearing, fair amounts of angst, and possibly other things that I have forgotten. Also, this prologue is fairly shorter than what I am comfortable with.

Disclaimer: I am quite flattered that you make even think that I own "Gravitation", but you are sadly mistaken. But, if fishes were wishes, I would own Gravitation.

Author Notes: Finally, I have been able to get my hands on some of the magna! Not many, mind you, but enough so that I was satisfied for a day, until I started begging to go back to the mall to spend more of the money that I did not have. Anyway, this story has been handwritten for quite a while now, and even typed up several times, but somehow, it always conned its way out of being posted. No matter, behold, my newest twist on the Gravi world. Hope you all enjoy.

Also, as stated above, this is a lot shorter than what I usually write, but that is why it is called the prologue rather than the first chapter. Enjoy.

Catch Me

Prologue

-x-x-x-x-

"Is everybody going crazy?

Is anybody going to save me?

Can anybody tell me what's going on,

Tell me what's going on.

If you open your eyes

You'll see that something is wrong..."

---Simple Plan "Crazy"

He was there for his friend and he was there for support. That was what Ryuichi kept telling himself over and over again, to keep himself from escaping this building. The famous singer hated hospitals and the overall atmosphere the medical buildings presented. No matter what, hospitals were always bad. Kumagoro agreed from his secure place in Ryuichi's zipped denim jacket, his cotton candy colored ears bouncing in rhythm with Ryuichi's almost cautious steps.

Ryuichi's vivid blue eyes searched for the right room, the hospital room number that Shuichi had given to him over the phone. Nifty little things, cell phones. Able to call anyone from almost anywhere. Perfect for emergencies such as this, Kumagoro put in.

Ryuichi knew that he needed to be strong in a situation like this, for Shuichi, and possibly anyone else who might need a shoulder to cry on. Or whatever it was that people did for comfort in hospitals. And although the dark green haired male was extremely grateful for his best friend's help, Kumagoro represented the childish and cheerful side of Ryuichi Sakuma, and right now, the blue-eyed singer doubted that anyone present in the hospital would enjoy his childlike and overzealous demeanor.

Then again, Ryuichi never spent a lot of time in hospitals, so maybe nurses, doctors, visitors and patients alike would love to have a little cheer in the quiet and almost foreboding building. Ryuichi didn't know, he had never made it a point to take the time to study how a hospital functioned (Ryuichi and Kumagoro had once watched how a fast food restaurant worked, but hospitals were scary and smelled funny, unlike a fast food place that was always fun and smelled of wonderful French fries and hamburgers and ketchup).

Kumagoro informed Ryuichi that they should be getting close to their designated room. Ryuichi agreed with his candy pink friend but then asked Kumagoro to kindly be quiet. With Kumagoro around, the lead singer wasn't sure how long he could stay at being strong.

Ryuichi knew that he should have left Kumagoro back at his apartment, even though it pained him to be separated from his friend. But Ryuichi wasn't sure if Kumagoro's ever-calming demeanor would be needed in the ordeal that they were soon to face. Shuichi had never really said why he wanted Nittle Grasper's singer to come to the hospital, but from what Ryuichi could tell, it was something very bad.

Vivid blue eyes widened as the famous male spotted the correct numbers '153', metal melded lettering fastened on the crisp white door near a small blind-covered window.

Taking a deep breath, and taking one last calming look at Kumagoro, Ryuichi knocked softly on the door. At first, the lead singer thought he had knocked too softly and no one had heard him (he had only wanted to be polite afterall), but as soon as Ryuichi raised his hand to rap against the door once again, the door opened slowly.

A glimpse of raspberry pink hair was the only warning he had before a familiar pair of arms had enveloped the bunny carrying male in a tight hug.

"Ryuichi, I'm so glad you came." Shuichi told his fellow singer in a hushed voice. Slowly the arms surrounding Ryuichi let go as Shuichi allowed him to come into the hospital room completely. Ryuichi took in the saddened atmosphere that was prominent in the stark white room.

Eiri Yuki stood by an opened winder, his golden eyes watching the scenery outside of the building. No emotion was visible on his stoic face. No concern, nor worry or fear. It was a little disconcerting to see someone so...emotionless.

Shuichi had quickly taken a place next to his lover, latching onto one of Yuki's hands. Shuichi's face was the exact opposite of the blonde. A person could see the thoughts and concerns that were radiating off the other lead singer, his head tilted upwards to look at Yuki's pale face, strands of unruly raspberry hair falling into his violet eyes. The small contact didn't seem enough for Shuichi, for he quickly had his arms around his lover's waist in a tight grip. And for once, Yuki didn't seem to mind.

Mika and Tohma Seguchi sat in two of the visitor chairs. Mika's dark sapphire eyes were adverted towards the ground, while Tohma's pale and small yet strong hands held on to his wife's slightly trembling ones. Tohma gave Ryuichi a small smile before turning his attention back onto Mika, muttering soft words of comfort.

Ryuichi's eyes finally found the person that everyone was concerned about, the one who had caused all this sadness.

White sheets covered what was, most likely, a tall and lithe figure. The unknown being was a male with dark lustrous black hair that fell almost artistically into closed eyes. Ryuichi, obviously, didn't know the color of the male's eyes, but he guessed that they would be just as dark and mysterious and luring as this male lying in the hospital bed seemed to be.

In a way, the unknown male looked almost familiar, and not only because he had a physical resemblance the Yuki. There was something else that made him seem more familiar to the singer. Then again, Ryuichi saw millions of faces every day. How was he to know that this young male wasn't just a face in a crowd? But that didn't explain why he sort-of-almost recognized him.

Kumagoro felt that same sense of familiarity as Ryuichi did, but the candy-pink bunny was just as clueless as to why. And for some crazy reason, a sense of protectiveness. Ryuichi tilted his head, watching the slow and steady rise and fall of the young male's chest. Soft, black eyelashes fluttered as the male slumbered restlessly, the slight twitching of strong fingers were almost unnoticeable, but Ryuichi spent too much time watching people not to notice signs of someone having a nightmare.

Not saying a word, Ryuichi walked over to the bedside, ignoring all of the curious looks he was getting from everyone in the room. A small smile overtook Ryuichi's once serious features as he gently placed Kumagoro with the young male.

The pink furry bunny instantly snuggled up with the unknown male and informed Ryuichi that he liked the boy. Ryuichi's smile broadened; Kumagoro was a good judge of character.

Still silent, the singer pulled up another chair and set it close to the bed, vivid blue eyes never leaving the pale face of the still unnamed male. Ryuichi knew that everyone in the room was still watching him intently, each one wondering what he was doing, but it didn't bother him. He was, after all, Ryuichi Sakuma, and he was used to being stared at when he didn't particularly want to.

Ryuichi turned his attention back to male in front of him. Upon sudden impulse, he reached out grasp the other's hand, but stopped. Thick, soft, gauzy bandages were tightly wrapped around the male's wrists, making Ryuichi's mind race. So this was the reason why everyone was here, in a hospital. A sad reason, really. And that protective feeling suddenly became somewhat stronger. Then thegreen-haired singer noticed that plastic bracelet that all patients received, and noticed a name.

Uesugi, Tatsuha.

Tatsuha.

The name made an involuntary shiver pass through Ryuichi and he wasn't sure why.

A/n: A lot shorter than I had hoped. But it is only a prologue, so I guess it can be okay like this. The first chapter is already more than half-way written up, and I promise that it will be a lot longer than this one. Tell me what you thought of this. I think this is going to be quite different from other Ryuichi/Tatsuha fics.
